L'homme qui rit
Axel Bauer Lyrics

J'ai envie de jeter une bombe
Sur ces nu? Es de corbeaux sauvages
Qui viennent vendre le mal au monde
Comme des vautours de passage
Mais comment faire? Comment faire?
Et comment dire? Comment dire?
On peut savoir sans voir souffrir
Mais comment faire? Comment faire?
Comment dire? Comment dire?
Se are?

Res
Si on se peignait les visages
Pouvoir reinventer la terre
Donnez aux guerres une autre image
Uuuuuuh! Mais comment faire? Comment faire?
Et comment dire? Comment dire?
Hurler de rire sans en rougir
Mais comment faire? Comment faire?
Et comment dire? Comment dire?
Quitte? Mourir mourir de rire
Je d? Roule un tapis rouge au fou du roi
Qui doit amuser sa cour

Et presse la mort entre ses doigts
Juste un homme qui rit...

Overall Meaning

Axel Bauer's song L'homme qui rit depicts the singer's desire for revolution in a world filled with corrupt, vulture-like figures that sell evil to society. He wishes to throw a bomb at these wild crows selling malice to the world, but he struggles to decide on the best way to intervene. The singer sings about knowing and comprehending without directly experiencing suffering, but he remains conflicted about how to instigate change and resist oppression. He suggests that laughter is a powerful weapon and imagines himself rolling out a red carpet for the court jester, who pleases his audience while pressing death between his fingers. The singer admits that sometimes one must die laughing and join with others to re-envision the world.

Overall, the song suggests a desire for transformation and revolution in a corrupt society through the use of laughter and humor. The lyrics showcase the conflict between knowing what is wrong and taking action to change it, as well as the potential of laughter to inspire collective change. The singer's message ultimately conveys a plea to use one's voice and laughter to unite with others and resist corrupt forces.

I do not like this version of gwynpaine. Becouse he is ment to be disfigured..to be a freak to others. In this version he looks like: lets paint a smile on my face...o noo I am a freak. I like the estetic of the this movie but it feels wrong. (Like my grammar)

I think the old version is handsome and works but this just doesnt work for me

Balthazar

They picked a very handsome actor to play a character who is supposed to be very ugly (in the books) but here, even with his scar, he is still good-looking and not really repulsive so bad casting for me

I my self understand that some little girls will deffend thier crush. I am like that myself. If some one said shit about the old version of gywonplaine I would just dislike the comment because I am a little Rat(I dont like confrontations. And nether my own exsistence.....and grammar)
