Working through getting all my powerplay modules. Just earned my merits by killing enemy targets instead of doing the cargo runs. Will wait for the tick next Thursday and see what they are like! 🙂

I engineered them to long range, overpowered. OR long range with scramble spectrum. I have 8 of these for fun times in combat against NPC's or PVP.
The ship I use them on varies, but usually I have them on secondary fire controls, I'll use MC and beams on the same fire group to lower shields, then switch to PL on unshielded ships to mess with their FSD, power supply or shield generator at close or long range.
They work on NPC's as the target icon of damage will shows it functioning, but it may not work all the time. Its a good pirate weapon and really that's the best use for it in PVP.
I do think too that Powerplay and engineering needs a good overhaul and FDev need to update the Powerplay weapons and make some obsolete or upgraded to a point that they all become wanted items for all play styles and ships. Engineering in real life is constantly evolving and that needs to be reflected in ED. Some weapons have been underused because they are under developed by FDev and they need to look again at all the weapons and engineering to make changes.
We all see it that iPhone gets a make over every year, and that needs to come into ED, new ships, new weapons and new engineering to keep the game fresh.

Only thing disruptor need is removal of bug that MOST npc's are not affected by it, and make AI trying to run a bit more, in pvp disruptor is big ship killer in wing fights, no matter how many mrp's you have, you are not protected from FSD malfunction that is critical in kill securing, also disruptor stacks with scramble spectrum, it get free random malfunction from scramble on top of focused malfunction from weapon trait, best engineering is long range/focused with emmisive
