Overall Meaning

Just because he is 'that' type of a player doesn't mean he's never been bad. You guys talk like he's not human instead an angel who does and think good all the time lol. Angriness, revenge, in a situation full of adrenaline (football match) is very human and you can't get rid of that no matter how 'good' you are as a person. You cannot avoid anger, you just can learn to live above them, and Son didn't manage to do that that time.

Son definitely wasn’t intending to take revenge. Son is a very pure and kind player, you can also see this at his reaction when he saw the severe injury he had caused. It indeed was his fault and mistake, but he obviously was just trying to stop the attack. Players tend to tackle the attacker, and that’s pretty normal in football. I mean, you can’t just watch the opponent make a goal.
Even after the match ended, Son was crying so hard that he couldn’t even lift his face for hours. He was feeling very guilty, but let’s be honest: It was not entirely Son’s fault. Aurier was at guilt too. Son only caught Gomes off balance.
I really don’t get why this video is attacking Son like this. “Taking revenge”, “ruthless”? They must be joking right? Viewers who don’t know Son that well and/or haven’t seen many Tottenham matches get to misunderstand this whole situation. Let me say this again: Son is known for his fantastic skills but also for his kindness, pureness and humbleness. He would never intend to take revenge or cause such a severe injury on purpose. Just not.
And also: “seen the red card”? Cmon he was already so upset and shocked before he saw he got red.

Son was following Gomes to defend and he slid 1st and because of this he bumped with Gomes and Gomes got injured because Aurier steped on Gomes' foot accidentally. This was an incident that nobody expected.. Hope Gomes gets well fast from his injury and Son be out of his shock and sense of guilt.

The part when it says "Are you serious, Pochettino?"... YES. Yes he is! He is 100% right when he said VAR should have checked and the red should have been overturned on the spot. Son would never have been sent off if VAR came into play. Reff Atskinson made the call based on emotions due to the seriousness of the injury. Misjudgment, and although Gomes was badly injured, the red card decision was indeed unfair for Son and the whole squad.

The thing that is infuriating most people i see around is that the injury wasnt intentional and the tackle didnt deserve a red, which I believe is true. If VAR didnt hate every team that is known as a major and trophy-contending club, they would have said it was a yellow. Most of the times OhMyGoal videos are great but this one can go straight to the trash. No way in hell that Sonny did it for revenge, neither did he cry becouse of the red card. Potchetinno also wasn't 'ruthless', he was right. The referee saw the injury and then instantly gave son red because of the severity of the injury, he didn't act along the severity of his tackle. It was Aurier after all who collided with him, but it was because of the ground that his ankle broke. And get well soon Andre!

Yo my dude it was a clean tackle but it was just Gomez who slipped when Aurior tackled and led him to break his leg. When player go on pitch these things happens. As of now the red card on Son has been over ruled so no ban for him.

It was an accident, ya'll can clearly see it. The tackle was there ofcourse, but it wouldn't have been that bad if Andre's front foot wasn't stuck in the pitch and that's how the twist in the ankle happened!

Son Heung-Min is a good guy and he would do this "to take his revenge" and he didn't cry because "he saw red". Why in the world would he deliberately injure a player when his very own father, Son Woong-Jung, (he was also a football player) retired early because of a foot injury (achilles tendon injury).

Well clearly, this video was made by an amateur. I can literally feel his/her emotions straight through, and I can't believe you guys actually allowed this biased video on the channel. The red card decision was "understandable but unfair" according to BBC, and calling Poch "ruthless" for his own opinion is seriously what a amateur journalist would do. How do you perceive this I was in a match the keeper had came out one on one with his studs up but got the ball in his hands and just missed me with his raised foot. The very next attack I came in aggressively one on one again lifted the ball over the sliding keeper and when I put my foot back down I was on his wrist and it snapped under my weight is that my fault no! Sometimes you literally can not stop these things happening

Atkinson was about to show yellow to son,but after witnessing the severity of the injury(on Gomes),he showed Red!!WTF
It was just a slight tackle,but unfortunately ,due to the collision with Aurier and the pitch,the injury has gone worse.It has to be yellow...

As a Spurs' fan, l don't agree with Pochettino's words. The foul is not to be minimized. Though l believe Son didn't wish to cause the consequences he did. But that's why fouls on men from behind should be prevented and hardly punished. They are dangerous and consequences can't be foreseen.
