That sums it up so well. I've been a Jimmy Ponder fan for 40 yrs. I always got this tune and Bob James "'Westchester Lady"' mixed although this one is far superior...the solos are incredible. Reminds me of the gorgeous summer of 1979.

it's not smooth, good, bad or cool; it's not just Jazz, it's life affirming reality of where I and many many have come from in allowing certain sounds, to mould me/us, like mother/father or grandparents voice: It put me to sleep and woke me up and allowed me to feel like me for the last forty plus years.
