Dis a new round a come so you know we nuh dead
Dis a killa sound done for the pigeons out there
cll em singalong songs them a make me go « blaah! »
Badabadabom Wanna let the beat pound with no worries or care

I'm warning you da shit will hit the fan
You fuck up now you just can't hit rewind
Meter rising beep beep better run
The wall is gonna break ain't that what you wanted

Wanna wanna dance, wanna dance around with you
Wanna see the animal, see the animal in you
So tell me wha' a gwan, what is going on with you
Tell me are you gonna dance, are we gonna see the monster?

cll di bad bwoys a come caw the gyals they love it
Dem a jealous upon us caw dem cyaan do it
It's a je ne sais quoi and they want to know it
Badabadabom we nuh bodybuilders, but see how we fit!

Say no worries, no worries or care
Imma let the beat pound like the heart in my chest

You can singalong now show the world you ain't scared
Wicked animal going out of control with no worries or fear

Overall Meaning

The lyrics convey a sense of defiance and confidence in the face of challenges. The singer proclaims their resilience and determination, declaring that they are not defeated despite facing a new round of difficulties. They assert that their music, described as a "killa sound," is not meant for passive listeners but for those who dare to embrace its boldness. The reference to "blaah" suggests a rebellious attitude towards conforming to societal norms, rejecting the mundane and embracing the unconventional.

The lyrics also touch upon themes of accountability and consequences. There is a warning that mistakes made cannot be undone, and the urgency to take action before it's too late. The imagery of the rising meter and the impending breakage of a wall symbolize the building tension and the need to confront challenges head-on. Despite the impending chaos, there is a sense of acceptance that some destruction may be necessary for growth or change.

The chorus calls for a release of inhibitions and a desire to connect on a primal level through dance and self-expression. The singer evokes a sense of wildness and raw emotion, urging the listener to embrace their inner animalistic instincts and let go of societal constraints. The question posed about dancing and revealing the "monster" within suggests a desire for authenticity and unfiltered self-discovery in a world that often demands conformity.

The lyrics also touch upon themes of envy and admiration from others who may not understand or replicate the singer's uniqueness. The references to "bad bwoys" and "gyals" suggest a rebellious subculture that thrives on individuality and nonconformity. Despite not fitting traditional expectations, there is a sense of pride in standing out and defying stereotypes. The closing lines emphasize a release from worries and fear, embracing the pulsating rhythm of life with a fearless attitude towards the unknown.

The first album I listened from this band was Au Marche Des Illusiones and it blew my mind. I instantly have become a huge BC fan. The next album Dances of Resistance was also really good containing my all time favourite song from the band called De La Musique Et Du Bruit. La Belle Etoile was the following album and it took some time to me to digest it but eventually the more "chansonish" and much less ska/reggae oriented songs found their way to my heart.
And then something went wrong. The next album "Never Stop" was a huge disappointment to me. I listened to it max twice but I didn't find any moment on the album that would made me to listen it for the third time at least. In my opinion that album is a huge dissapointment and really the bottom point in the band's carreer.

So I was quite afraid when I heard this new album was just came out. And when I listened this song for the first time I was not that amazed. But finally I took my time to listen the whole album and I am very thankful to myself that I did it.
It is a fantastic album! Yes, the sound and the production is very popy and modern mainstreamish, but the songs are amazing. Another great classic, so thanks a lot guys!
