Their hits include “Shooting Star,” “Bad Company,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy,” "Ready for Love," and “Can’t Get Enough,” most of which are off of the albums Straight Shooter and Bad Company.
In the mid 80`s Rodgers & Burrell left the band. New singer Brian Howe, who had worked with Ted Nugent earlier, made 4 albums with the band. Year 1990`s LP Holy water contained big hit "If you needed somebody". Their style was then more like melodic rock.
In mid 1990`s Howe left the band and solo artist Robert Hart replaced him. Also other guitarist Dave Colwell & basist Rick Wills joined to group. In 2000`s Paul Rodgers came back to make the new album with old band members Kirke, Ralphs & other guys. They got a hit with the song "Joe Fabulous" what was number 1 on Classic Rock Radio. After that recording all original members left the band and new line-up members came to band. Robert Hart became again the band´s singer.

I'm breaking in two, shaking with fear
Throw me a line or let me go
Just don't leave me here in the rain
My soul is on fire, I'm a desperate man
I'm battered and torn, I do what I can
Just look at these tears, flow down my face
Take me inside, lay me down
I'll love you now and always
Give me a sign or let me go
Just don't leave me here in the rain
I said don't leave me here in the rain
Twisting our fate, send our lives down
Out of control, spinning around
I am still in tonight, leave me behind
Come to me out of the rain
Take me inside, lay me down
I'll love you now and always
Give me a sign or let me go
Just don't leave me here in the rain
I said don't leave me here in the rain
Take me inside, lay me down
I'll love you now and always
Give me a sign or let me go
Just come to me out of the rain
Take me inside, lay me down
I'll love you now and always
Give me a sign or let me go
Just come take me out of the rain
Said don't leave me here in the rain
I said don't leave me here in the rain
I said don't leave me here in the rain
Said don't, shaking with fear
You know how I feel
Out of control
The lyrics of Bad Company's song "Downpour in Cairo" convey the feelings of desperation and fear of a person who is seeking shelter from an emotional storm. The singer pleads to be taken inside and not left outside in the rain where he is breaking apart. The person’s soul is on fire and he feels battered and torn. The tears flowing down his face reflect his emotional turmoil. However, the person seeks refuge and healing by asking for a warm, dry place inside by being taken out of the rain.
The chorus of the song repeats the plea to be taken out of the rain and not left in it. The singer is asking for love, comfort, and support but also willing to let go if the person cannot provide the same. The song's bridge expresses the feeling of a life spinning out of control despite the singer's effort to change the course of their destiny. The person still hopes for someone to come and be with him, comfort him, and take him out of the chaos. The song ends on the same pleading tone, emphasising the sense of vulnerability and fear.
