In "Ya No Duele," Bajofondo delivers an introspective and melancholic take on heartbreak and loss. The lyrics talk about struggling to move on and trying to find solace in different things. The first verse sets the scene with the singer heading out for a coffee and stumbling, briefly losing their faith. They try to console themselves by realizing they are no longer falling for the same traps and rise from the ashes. They light up a cigarette, thinking about people who are flawed, and decides to avoid becoming part of a bigger problem. The singer is fixated on trying to recapture lost time, regrets past mistakes, and feels stuck in a dead end job. They decide to take control and set out on their own path, walking away from their routine behind.
In the chorus, the singer talks about the end of their heartache and the bitter melody that plays in the background. Even though they're in a better place, the sting of the past still lingers. The second verse dives deeper into the singer's environment and their perception of it. They feel trapped in a routine where even the reflections off glass or the sound of traffic feel like prison walls closing in on them. The memories of the past are still a burden to carry, as their mind feels clouded with nostalgia and sorrow. Eventually, they decide to leave it all behind, abandoning their obligations and allowing themselves to run free.
Overall, "Ya No Duele" is a powerful song about personal redemption and the struggle to leave a painful past behind. The lyrics convey the singer's feelings of being stuck in a cycle of regret, nostalgia, and heartbreak. Despite taking a leap of faith and moving forward, the lingering pain in their heart reminds them that it hasn't been an easy journey.

Heading to a coffee shop, I almost stumbled and felt that
Por un momento pierdo la fé
For a moment I lose my faith
I console myself thinking that I no longer fall for the bait
I pick myself up, light a cigarette, and leave this dump
I hold the cigarette in my hand and think "another broken thing with feet of clay"
It's better to keep quiet and never jump on the bandwagon,
I'm stubbornly trying to find lost time, in tight laments
En penales casi siempre mal pateados
In penalties almost always poorly taken
I work for peanuts, don't want to continue and decide to leave the line
And although the wolf can't, and although the legs almost don't want to
I take a walk to see if it's still raining
The glass that's looking at me, the people turning the corner
The smoke almost makes me gag and the boulevard that remains empty
Suelo mojado, el tránsito encajonado
Wet ground, trapped traffic
Like a barking dog locked in an unknown trap
The rain that splashes onto the memory reddened by nostalgia
Como lágrimas partidas, como lágrimas perdidas
Like broken tears, like lost tears
Tiempo mejor, cielo de miel
Better times, honey sky
Now that the sun comes out and starts to warm the skin
Bronco tosarrón de tanto fumar, ganas de empezar a caminar
Harsh cough from smoking too much, the desire to start walking
And stop thinking about flowers that burn from the cold
En un sucio jarrón vacío
In a dirty empty vase
In a brown River of Silver that I now look at without haste
Chiflo bajo, me pateo el hormigón mientras pienso,
I whistle low, kick the concrete as I think,
Fired up, that I quit the job and was rightfully fired
The heart doesn't hurt anymore and tonight the wind of pain doesn't blow
And it's a bitter bandoneon that threatens in my song
