Propaganda
Bandido Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Isang artista nakipaghiwalay sa asawa
Meron bang nanalo sa super lotto?
Ano bang sabi sa horoscope mo?
Meron bang bago diyan sa hawak mong dyaryo?
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Sawa na kami sa propaganda
Pinapaikot lang ang masa
Aso kinatay, ale hinalay
Binatilyo nanlaban wala raw kasalanan
Si mayor nakulong sa droga daw lulong
Pareparehong kwento wala bang bago
The song "Propaganda" by Bandido expresses frustration and weariness towards the manipulation and falsehoods propagated by those in power. The repeated line "Sawa na kami sa propaganda, pinapaikot lang ang masa" emphasizes the exhaustion felt by the masses who are being constantly spun around by the manipulative tactics of those in control.
The first verse uses specific examples to highlight the disillusionment caused by propaganda. The mention of an artist divorcing their spouse, the question about winning the lottery, and the reference to horoscopes allude to the trivial nature of the information being fed to the public. The line "Meron bang bago diyan sa hawak mong dyaryo?" questions the lack of any meaningful or relevant news in the newspapers people hold.
The second verse discusses the consistent pattern of excuses and cover-ups employed by those with power. The mention of a dog being killed and an old lady being violated implies incidents of violence and injustice being brushed aside. The line "Pareparehong kwento wala bang bago" suggests that these stories of abuse of power and corruption have become predictable, with no new developments or consequences for those responsible.
The overwhelming feeling of discontentment and distrust is further expressed in the chorus lines "Ayoko na... Nakakasawa na... Maniniwala ka pa ba sa mga sinasabi nila... Ayoko na..." These lines convey a deep desire to break free from the cycle of propaganda and deception and no longer believe in the false narratives being presented.
Overall, the lyrics of "Propaganda" capture the frustration and disillusionment of the masses towards the manipulation and lies perpetuated by those in positions of power. It serves as a commentary on the need for critical thinking and seeking truth beyond the propaganda being fed to the public.
