Victoria Gómez, Javi Mota y Lidia Guevara son los tres cantantes y bailarines que forman Banghra, una nueva formación que pretende hacernos bailar con su música y sus coreografías.
Con una estética urbana y muy actual, BANGHRA trata de redescubrir la danza del vientre, adaptándola al mundo moderno. Inspirándose en sus movimientos, llega una nueva propuesta que combina música, baile y ejercicio. Su primer álbum, llamado La danza del vientre salió publicado el pasado 25 de junio y piensa convertirse en una de las sensaciones del verano.
El primer trabajo del trío, que ha sido publicado en formato CD+DVD, recoge 15 cortes musicales en castellano y en inglés, con los sonidos orientales típicos de la danza del vientre. El DVD, por su parte, incluye el primer vídeo del grupo, un making of del mismo, un reportaje que nos enseña las coreografías para 10 de las canciones y una galería de fotos. Su primer single que ha hecho famoso al grupo, My own way, suena ya en las radios de media España.
Uniendo diversos estilos que han triunfado en años anteriores, como Batuka o los Monjes Budistas, Banghra no sólo ha sido pensado para ser música para escuchar, sino que trata de aportarnos algo más. En este caso el grupo nos enseña nuevas coreografías y movimientos, que hacen de su particular versión de la danza del vientre un baile sensual y armónico, pero también moderno, adaptado a los nuevos tiempos y a todas la edades y sexos.

The lyrics of "Promised Land" by Banghra delve into the idea of hope, love, and escape. The opening lines by Lidia seems to express a desire to bring joy and positivity into someone's life with her love, with the hope that nothing will ever change the bright light she seeks to give them.
