1. Banquet is a FUZ… Read Full Bio ↴There are two bands that share the Banquet name:
1. Banquet is a FUZZ ROCK / 70'S ROCK / RETRO ROCK PSYCH rock band from San Francisco, CA, USA. From their Bandcamp page (http://banquetsf.bandcamp.com/):
"The once fruitful rock n' roll city of San Francisco is now a barren womb, fraught with the lasting effects of technological herpes. Thankfully a polyp known as Banquet has formed and is screeching for freedom from the womb's clutches. With dual ripping lead guitars, howling vocals and a rhythm section that can make a pregnant woman's water break."
2. Banquet was formed mid way through 2006. We are four guys that have diverse tastes in music, but we all love live music.. We try to keep our live shows something special, we are primarily a 'rock' band but we love to mess around with glitch beats and sampling and live looping, basically using the laptop as an instrument.. computers seem to be alien to a lot of musicians... it's seen as cold and sterile, we are trying to change that.
We will have more songs uploaded very soon as we are mid way through trying to record our own album.. its taking time. maybe too much time, but i think you will like the results - hopefully!
The instrumental track you hear is a live spontaneous recording.. its not really how we sound, so please bear with us.

3. BANQUET is a Japanese vocal and dance boy group. The group consists of 5 members. They debuted in 2019 with the album WELCOME TO THE BANQUET WORLD.
What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor
Banquet Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
what shall we do with the drunken sailor,
what shall we do with the drunken sailor,
early in the morning,
hoo reee and she rises,
hoo reee and she rises,
hoo reee and she rises,
early in the morning
The lyrics of Banquet's song "What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor" are wide open to interpretation, and could potentially be linked to a variety of themes including addiction, societal norms, or even the existential question of what to do with those who have lost their way. The repetition of the chorus, "what shall we do with the drunken sailor," enables the listener to get lost in the rhythm and focus on the larger themes that might be present in the song.
The lines "hoo reee and she rises" add an element of levity to the song, and could be interpreted as the comical nature of trying to deal with a drunken sailor. The use of the female pronoun "she" in reference to the drunken sailor could potentially suggest that the person being referred to is a woman, which raises more questions about the societal norms around drinking and control in women.

Its a part of a song from metalica called whiskey in a jar
@enzoli23
@Stoner Boy No, it's not. Metallica only covered Whiskey in the Jar, which is an old Irish folk song, but the lyrics of Metallica's version are not even remotely similar to this Banquet version.
