Beatsteaks Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm feeling well and when you lose the game you know
You're in hell and if you need me most
I'll be there and hold your hand with firegloves
How I used to say anyway
I don't mind you stay go down
Everybody knows you're messing around
Everybody knows you're getting around
'Cause I'm loyal to none
When every thing in you is sliding away
Like a frame there ain't no sin without a shame
And if you cry my name I'll be there
And help you to do the step over the edge.
The lyrics to Beatsteaks' song "Mirrored" depict a sense of loyalty and support for someone going through a tough time. The opening lines set the tone for the rest of the song, with the singer acknowledging that things might be falling apart for the person they're speaking to. Despite this, however, the singer is feeling well themselves, which suggests they are in a good place to offer comfort and support.
The chorus of the song emphasizes this support even further, with the singer offering to hold the person's hand "with firegloves" if they need it. The line "How I used to say anyway" seems to suggest that this isn't the first time the singer has offered this kind of support, and that it's something they're accustomed to doing.
The second verse of the song furthers the idea of loyalty and support for someone in need. The line "I'm loyal to none" might seem at odds with this theme at first, but in the context of the song it seems to suggest that the singer is not going to abandon the person they're speaking to, no matter what. The closing lines of the song reinforce this idea, with the singer offering to help the person they're speaking to take a step forward, even if it means going over the edge.
Overall, the lyrics to "Mirrored" depict a sense of loyalty, support, and comfort for someone going through a tough time. The song suggests that no matter how bad things get, there will always be someone there to hold your hand and help you take the next step forward.
