He usually works in studio with cousin Alle Benassi. The two also produce tracks together under the name Benassi Bros. The duo started DJing in the late 80s in their hometown, before moving to Larry Pignagnoli's Off Limits production studio in the mid 90s, creating music for various acts, including Whigfield, J.K. and Ally & Jo.
His first big international hit was I Feel So Fine, released as KMC with vocals by Dhany in 2001. After moving from eurohouse to electro, he had another successful hit single "Satisfaction" in 2003 and 2004. This reached Number 2 on the OCC UK Top 75 chart after the Ministry of Sound record company replaced the original video (an almost still picture of the band overlayed with graphics) with a video of models using power tools. Some of his singles have charted high in the United Kingdom and have been played world-wide in clubs. Benassi also remixes the music of his contemporaries, such as DJ Tomcraft and Fischerspooner.
Recently, Benny created a record label known as Pump-Kin Music. The focus of the label is primarily new and unsigned producers. Through this venture, he hopes to give exposure to some of the lesser known DJ/production talent across the world.

Play dead, good girl
The lyrics to Benny Benassi's song, "Good Girl," appear to describe a sexual encounter, but with a strange, possibly violent twist. The lines "Bang, bang" and "play dead" imply gunfire or some sort of shooting game, but the use of the phrase "good girl" throughout the entire song adds an alarming element to the lyrics. It's as if the singer is controlling or manipulating the person they're addressing, urging them to perform these acts for his pleasure.
One interpretation of the lyrics is that the song is about a man who views the woman he's with as a pet or an object, rather than a human being. The command to "play dead" is especially troubling, as it suggests that the woman should submit completely to the man's desires, even if it means acting out her own death. The repeated phrase "good girl" reinforces this idea of control, as if the man is pleased with the woman's obedience and is offering rewards for her compliance.
Overall, the lyrics to "Good Girl" are unsettling and suggest an unhealthy, possibly abusive dynamic between the two people in the song. It's a reminder that the language we use can be powerful and revealing, and that we should be careful about how we speak to and about others.
