Beyblade Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Thought you picked up my name but you forgot about my home game,
Thought your could take me down, sucka take me down now here we go

Thought you could take me down, whats up you forgot about my old school,
If you wanna teach me something new you better teach yourself

Thought you picked up my name but you forgot about my home game,
Thought your could take me down, sucka take me down now here we go

Thought you could take my group, whats up you forgot about my old school,
If you wanna teach me something new you better teach yourself

Swing now, Swing low if you wanna Beyblade,
Swing now, Swing low let it rip, Beyblade!

Swing now, Swing low never with a beyblader,
Swing now, Swing low let it rip, Beyblade!

Swing now, Swing low if you wanna Beyblade
Swing now, Swing low let it rip, Beyblade!

Swing now, Swing low if you wanna Beyblade,
Swing now, Swing low let it rip, Beyblade!

Thought you picked up my name but you forgot about my home game,
Thought your could take me down, sucka take me down now here we go

Overall Meaning

The song "Swing Low" by Beyblade seems to be a battle cry of sorts, with the lyrics emphasizing the singer's determination and skill in the game of Beyblading. The opening lines suggest that the opponent may have underestimated the singer's abilities by not considering their "home game," implying that there may be certain advantages that come with playing in one's familiar and comfortable surroundings. The next set of lines serves as a warning to the opponent that any attempt to take the singer down will result in failure, as the singer is well-versed in "old school" tactics and will not be easily defeated.

The chorus, with its repeated phrase "Swing now, swing low," seems to be a call to action, encouraging the singer to take bold, decisive moves and let their Beyblade rip with maximum force. The final lines of the song repeat the opening theme, reminding the listener that the singer cannot be underestimated and will remain dominant in the game.

Overall, "Swing Low" can be interpreted as a song about confidence, determination, and the competitive spirit of Beyblading.

So true.

The actual Beyblade spinning tops as well as the manga came out in 99, but the anime series started in Japan in 2001. I remember the series coming out in the U.S. back in 2002.
