Horizons
Beyond the Black Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Come with me
For we're the ones to see the light
Come with me
Beyond horizons through the night
Anything that lies within
Deepest roots can be no sin
Come with me
I can see it in your eyes
They are burning for this life
We can go to see it all
We are invincible
Horizons, horizons, horizons
Oh, won't you come with me
We can share a common vision
Come with me
We can aim for new horizons
Come with me
We're fighting for a better place
Come with me
Can't leave the earth without a trace
Anything that dares to fly
Invisibly for human eyes
Hides within the dark to show its face
Come with me
I can see it in your eyes
They are burning for this life
We can go to see it all
We are invincible
Horizons, horizons, horizons...
I can see it in your eyes
They are burning for this life
We can go to see it all
We are invincible
Horizons, horizons, horizons...
Oh, horizons
We can aim for new horizons
The lyrics to Beyond the Black's song "Horizons" speak of a journey beyond what is known and a call to embrace new possibilities. The first lines of the song - "Horizons, horizons, horizons" - are a repeated refrain that sets the tone for the uplifting and inspiring message of the lyrics. The singer invites the listener to join her on a quest to "see the light" and push past what lies ahead to find something new. The line "we're fighting for a better place" shows that this journey is not just about personal growth but also about contributing to the world in a positive way.
The message of the song is conveyed through vivid images and metaphors. The idea of roots being "no sin" suggests that staying rooted in one's past doesn't have to hold one back from new possibilities. The reference to "the beauty and the beast" speaks of the duality of life and the importance of embracing both the good and the bad. The repeated emphasis on "come with me" reinforces the notion that even though the journey may be unknown and sometimes scary, having someone to share it with can make all the difference.
