Recently hailed by the BBC as “one of the biggest names in UK dance”, Bicep continue to cement themselves as one of the defining global electronic acts of our times. Their most recent release “Water” was described as nothing short of “anthemic” by Mixmag, & saw Billboard opine that the duo “consistently creates some of the most powerful electronic atmospheres on the market”, as well as commending their “mind-blowing live performances.”
In 2022 Bicep played their biggest UK Live shows to date with back-to-back performances at London’s 10k capacity Alexandra Palace — both of which sold out in just 5 minutes — a headline arena-tour throughout Europe including Zenith Paris, Lotto Arena Antwerp & UFO Velodrom Berlin, & a run of high-profile festival & headline shows across North America. They will also embark on a sold-out tour of Australia in the new year including stops in Sydney, Melbourne, & Brisbane.
Bicep released their hotly anticipated second album, ‘Isles’, in January 2021, which debuted at #2 on the UK Official Albums Chart & #1 on the UK Official Vinyl Albums Chart, earning the duo 2x BRITs nominations in the process.

Bicep Lyrics

To make up your mind
If you don't like, you know that
I'm gonna leave you there
You had your time to
To make up your mind
If you don't like, you know that
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
You had your time
To make up your mind
If you don't like, you know that
I'm gonna leave you there
You had your time to
To make up your mind
If you don't like, you know that
I'm gonna leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
Leave you there
At first glance, the lyrics to Bicep's song "Vale" appear to be about a relationship on the rocks. The repeated line "you had your time to make up your mind, if you don't like, you know that I'm gonna leave you there" suggests that the singer has given their partner an ultimatum and is prepared to move on if things don't change. The repetition of the phrase "leave you there" emphasizes the finality of the situation and the singer's resolve.
However, when paired with the driving beat and pulsing synths of the music, the lyrics take on a more ambiguous tone. The repetition of the phrase "you had your time" could be interpreted as a warning to a larger group, perhaps a political or social movement, that they need to take action before it's too late. The urgent energy of the music could be seen as a call to arms, urging listeners to make a decision and take action.
Overall, the lyrics to "Vale" are open to interpretation, but they certainly convey a sense of urgency and finality. Whether it's a personal relationship or a larger societal issue, the message is clear: the time to act is now.

I was riding my bike right now throughout the city with this album in my ears and this song came on and I said to myself “WOW.” This song is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful electronic songs I’ve heard in a long time , and yet still so danceable. This is what I want to hear at 3am on the dancefloor when people are in their zones. Gorgeous track.

This song epitomizes everything I love about music. It takes me back to nights I had 20 years ago, it takes me back to weekends spent with the best people. Some still here, some not, some not in my life anymore. This track goes down in my top 10 of all time for MY reasons.
