Favourite Things
Big Brovaz Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

[Chorus: x2]
Buy me diamonds and rubys and crazy bow Bentleys
Gucci dresses and drop top compresses
Wine me and dine me bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of my favourite things

What I need is a gentleman
That does the best he can
There to hold my hand
I want him to understand
Of course I want diamonds and expensive things
'Cause a girl gotta have her favourite things

Males (don't know what they say)

Buy me diamonds and rubies and crazy bow Bentleys
Gucci dresses and drop top compresses
Wine me and dine me bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of our favourite things

I would like a man who would
Take care of business and still have the time to take
Me on a shopping spree
What mine is yours and what's yours is mine
If what we have lets put it together and we can shine

Males (don't know what they say)

Buy me diamonds and rubys and crazy bow Bentleys
Gucci dresses and drop top compresses
Wine me and dine me bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of my favourite things

Let me tell you what these are about
You see I'm easy to please but I like expensive things
For me you can buy diamonds and pearls
Its those little things I like in my world

Males (don't know what they say)

Buy me diamonds and rubys and crazy bow Bentleys
Gucci dresses and drop top compresses
Wine me and dine me bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of my favourite things

Diamonds and rubys and crazy bow Bentleys
Gucci dresses and drop top compresses

Wine me and dine me bring those platinum rings
Those are a few of my favourite things

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Big Brovaz's "Favourite Things" suggest that the artists want expensive gifts, such as diamonds, rubies, Bow Bentleys, Gucci dresses, drop-top compressors, and platinum rings, from their romantic partners. The lyrics reflect a luxurious lifestyle and the artists' desire for a gentle and caring romantic partner who is willing to please them with fancy things. They note that it is easy for them to please, but they prefer expensive things like diamonds and pearls because they add little pleasures to their world.

The lyrics hint at the idea that the artists want someone who can take charge of their lives, someone who understands women's love for pricey things and someone who can provide them with such luxury. The lyrics also highlight the importance of companionship, caring, and love in relationships.

Overall, these lyrics are about desiring material gifts to make life more comfortable and luxurious while holding onto the ideal of a strong, supportive, and loving partner who can provide both emotional and material security.

Underrated UK group, ahead of their time but shined while they could. Much respect.

@zh2266

Rahh y'know this is the first time me hearing they were a UK group. I used to hear this loads as a kid and just presumed they were American. I think they're putting on an accent though

Pioneerz

@rkempo

@@zh2266 They are a UK group. I can only imagine they put on the American accent to appeal to the US audience? I never really noticed it back when they were big, but coming back to this song now, its evident they are sounding American.

@sunnyd5098

@@rkempo it was a big thing back then. Alot of people's styles mimicked the US accent

@enakisser0404

I didn't knew that they are British- the song is so good tho

Love their slightly creepy, gothic style, this was one of my fave songs as a kid, hope they get more recognition/fans

@grandmaster_gus

To say this track is from early 2000's, these guys were way ahead of the British hip-hop / RnB scene...

@blueangeloftheseas

Waaaaay ahead. So many artists back then didn't get the glory they deserved. I feel like they should all re-release these songs. Can you imagine a re-release of a track like Oi by More Fire Crew? Amp up the base even more? It would be maaaaad. These cartoon songs on the radio n charts don't deserve to be there.

@smmusic92810

blueangeloftheseas I still bust more fire crew out ! And all the old school vets ! 💯
