Big Dumb Face originated from Borland wanting to make use of guitar riffs he had written for Limp Bizkit that the rest of the band did not want to use, as well as from his fascination with the band Ween. Borland worked on the CD in late 2000, released it in early 2001, and toured for BDF in early to mid 2001.
The tracks on the album range from death/thrash metal (Burgalveist, Blood Red Head on Fire) to new wave (It's Right in Here, Kali Is the Sweethog), to speed country (Duke Lion). The album has many musical ideas loaded into each song, with keyboards, drum machines, live drums, guitars run through synths, bass guitar and trip hop beats thrown into songs.
The project was set to the side once Wes quit Limp Bizkit in 2001 and he started up progressive metal outfit Eat the Day, but once Eat the Day fell through Borland briefly rejoined Limp Bizkit in late 2004. This led to a new BDF track in a death metal / thrash style titled "Darkness Becomes", but this was to be the final track to be released before the project was abandoned after Borland once again left Limp Bizkit in 2005.

Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
Something may appear
Listen hard, it's right in here
Something may have wings
These are not ordinary things
Something may come clear
When you realize somethings here
Something may appear
When you look right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
When you realize something is right in here
You will know that it's nothing you should fear
When you look into this thing we have found
You will notice that it leads underground
You know, I think you are right to take him away
He's so proud, he reads aloud
To mark his words, to travel in herds
To write no wrong, his speech is song
He understands the meaning
He's on his knees for you to please
His looks are pure, he bleeds the cure
Those holy hands have other plans
He understands the meaning
It's right in here
It's right in here
When you realize something is right in here
You will know that it's nothing you should fear
When you look into this thing we have found
You will notice that it leads underground
Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
Be best target up on me
If you wanna pay the price
Bless my soul and praise the Lord
'Cause the savior is so nice
Fool you'll be the devil's slave
When Satan comes to tempt ya
You better prey to Jesus
Or the demons will exempt ya
It's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
When you realize something is right in here
You will know that it's nothing you should fear
When you look into this thing we have found
You will notice that it leads underground
It's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
I think, it's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
It's right in here
Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
Sasoom, sasoom, sa sasoom
