I asked my husband Henry to come to the living room so I could play this for him on CD 💿. I had just started buying Billie's music on vinyl and didn't have this on record yet.
Anyway, when Billie starts singing, the lyrics starts pulling at my heart strings. I could see my husband smiling out of the corner of my eye. He then asked why are you crying Boo? which means, I already know you love me.
I didn't say anything. I just kept facing the TV until I saw 👀 him crying 😢 too. True twin flames

November 30th 2021 my friend passed away 😢 💔.

Simply listen to that line "...only a fool will say..." and notice the authority, the certainty with which she sings that line. Because, partly, her voice had become a "heightened speech" as some have said, she had to rest upon the intellect and humanity (and pain!) she had to sing to you softly yet wrenchingly truthfully! Six months before her death!!... The song brings tears to my eyes.
