Billie the Vision & the Dancers got together in Malmö during the recordings of the first album in the spring of 2004. The Singer, Songwriter Lars Lindquists had previous material from a solo project. One person wasn't enough he thought, and had persuaded five more members to join the project. Most of them old friends from his home town Bräkne-Hoby in Blekinge, and on top of that a new friend from Borlänge.
The debut I Was So Unpopular in School and Now They're Giving Me This Beautiful Bicycle released on their own label Love Will Pay the Bills got great reviews in the press and also got nominated at Manifest, the Swedish prize award for records released on indie labels.
2005 saw the release of The World According To Pablo and in 2007 "Where The Ocean Meets My Hand" was released.
"I Used to Wander These Streets" was released on June 4th 2008.

Go To Hell
Billie the Vision & the Dancers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I never knew that I could treat you bad
I said things to you that I never said before
I said "Pablo Diablo go to hell"
I said "Pablo Diablo go to hell"
The radical cheerleaders are next up now
And I feel heavy as a big fat cow
I sing: "Toss me a cigarette, I think there is one in my rain coat"
No, I sing: "Toss me a cigarette, I think there is one in my tuxedo"
And the sleeping pills won't save me
And the medicine makes it worse
I went to the psychiatric emergency for help
They said: "Take some of these and take some of those too"
They said: "Take some of these and take some of those too"
I never knew that I could feel so sad
I never knew that I could feel so bad
I'm alone and I never experienced this before
She said: "I'll call you at midnight". She did never call me at midnight
She said: "I'll call you at midnight". She did never call me at midnight
And she said: "Pablo Diablo go to hell"
And she said: "Pablo Diablo go to hell"
The lyrics of Billie the Vision & the Dancers' song Go To Hell is emotional and introspective. The singer admits to having hurt someone they care about and realizing the depth of their actions. The line "I never knew that I could make you sad, I never knew that I could treat you bad" speaks to the realization that the singer never intended to bring pain onto their loved one. However, in a moment of anger, they said hurtful words that they cannot take back. The repetition of "Pablo Diablo go to hell" reveals the lack of control the singer has over their emotions in that moment.
The second verse shifts the focus to the singer's own struggles with mental health. They describe feeling heavy and comparing themselves to a "big fat cow". The references to the White Fur choir and tuxedo suggest the singer is attending a fancy event but is struggling with their own inner turmoil. The line "the sleeping pills won't save me, and the medicine makes it worse" reveals the desperation they feel to find relief. Seeking help from a psychiatric emergency, they are given medication to take, adding to their already difficult situation.
In the final verse, the singer is alone and experiencing a new, profound sadness. They were promised a phone call that never came, and they are left feeling rejected and abandoned. The repetition of "She said: 'I'll call you at midnight'. She did never call me at midnight." shows the disappointment and betrayal the singer feels. The song ends with the same phrase from the chorus, now attributed to the woman who has seemingly betrayed the singer. The repetition of this phrase emphasizes the sense of anger and the despair the singer is feeling.
