Billie the Vision & the Dancers got together in Malmö during the recordings of the first album in the spring of 2004. The Singer, Songwriter Lars Lindquists had previous material from a solo project. One person wasn't enough he thought, and had persuaded five more members to join the project. Most of them old friends from his home town Bräkne-Hoby in Blekinge, and on top of that a new friend from Borlänge.
The debut I Was So Unpopular in School and Now They're Giving Me This Beautiful Bicycle released on their own label Love Will Pay the Bills got great reviews in the press and also got nominated at Manifest, the Swedish prize award for records released on indie labels.
2005 saw the release of The World According To Pablo and in 2007 "Where The Ocean Meets My Hand" was released.
"I Used to Wander These Streets" was released on June 4th 2008.

I'm Pablo
Billie the Vision & the Dancers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
This is the world according to Pablo
One, two, three, four
One, two, three... Yeah
Pablo Diablo, Pablo Diablo
What are you doing to yourself and to all your friends?
Do you think these one way efforts can last?
You'd better wash your clothes, you'd better wash your hair too
Are you as perverted as we all guess you are?
I'm Pablo Diablo, I'm doing the best I can
I cannot answer these questions cause they make me feel sick
I'm Pablo Diablo and I won't let you in, 'cause you're not good enough
I won't let in, no, I won't let you in
No, I won't let in, no, I won't let you in
I'm Pablo Diablo and I won't let you in
Jessica is good to me, she tells the recipe
She sends me Easter cards and chocolate for a month or two
I'm in love with you can you feel the vibrations?
Leave me alone Susan. Don't ever call me again
Don't ever mail or try to give me bad conscience
I'll see you in hell 'cause we're both going to hell
I'm Pablo Diablo, I ain't got no sisters left
But I don't care 'cause there are many better sisters out there
I'm Pablo Diablo and I won't feel ashamed, no I won't feel ashamed
I won't feel ashamed, no, I won't feel ashamed
No, I won't feel ashamed, no, I won't feel ashamed
I'm Pablo Diablo and I won't feel ashamed
“I’m Pablo” by Billie the Vision and the Dancers showcases the story of Pablo Diablo, a rebellious and confident individual who does not conform to societal norms. The song opens with an invitation for the listener to witness “the world according to Pablo,” setting the stage for Pablo’s self-expression. In the following verses, Pablo is questioned and judged by others, who ask him if he is “perverted,” if he thinks his “one way efforts” can last, and if he is willing to conform. The chorus is a defiant announcement from Pablo, refusing to let anyone in and standing confidently in his individuality.
The second half of the song introduces Jessica, a friend of Pablo’s who supports him and shares her recipe and Easter chocolates. However, another person, Susan, is not respectful of Pablo’s wishes and makes him feel guilty. In response, Pablo declares that he is not ashamed of who he is, even if he has no sisters left. The song radiates an aura of acceptance for everyone who wishes to express themselves freely, without judgment or societal pressure.
