Born in Hope Valley, Rhode Island, with his parents Mr. & Mrs. William Gilman Jr., Gilman first received notice as a performer at age seven, attracting the attention of a local vocal coach, Angela Bacari, who later became his manager. Eventually he met with Ray Benson (of Asleep at the Wheel) who helped him record demos, including "Roly Poly". Two months later he was signed by Sony Music Nashville.
His 2000 debut album, One Voice, had a very widely-played single that crossed over well into top 40 airplay. The album reached multi-platinum status, and earned a Grammy nomination. Generally touted as a child prodigy, Gilman appeared on various talk shows. Classic Christmas (which was certified gold) was released later in the year.
He released Dare to Dream (certified gold) on Sony BMG Music Entertainment/Epic Records in 2001, and in 2003 released Music Through Heartsongs, an album inspired by the poetry of Mattie Stepanek. Later in 2003, he performed at a benefit for The Station nightclub fire. In May 2005, he released Everything and More, his first album since his voice changed.
Billy's latest album, self-titled, was released in September 2006 on the Image Entertainment label. The first single off the upcoming album, Southern Star, heralds a return to his country music roots. Billy is scheduled to begin working on his next album with Eddie Galan and Andrew Lane of Trilogy Productions.

Quire singing,
Wondering what ole Santa's bringing
It's the warm and fuzzy time of year
Snow flakes fall
The temp is dropping
Families out together shopping
Elves are working over time
Making all our toys
Reindeer hooves on all the roofs
Good little girls and boys
Big old cups of steaming cider
Fall asleep by the cozy fire
It's the warm and fuzzy time of year
Elves are working over time
Making all our toys
Reindeer hooves on all the roofs
Good little girls and boys
Big old cup of steaming cider
Fall asleep by the cozy fire
It's the warm and fuzzy time of year
It's the warm and fuzzy time of year
The lyrics of Billy Gilman's song "Warm and Fuzzy" perfectly encapsulate the magic and nostalgia of the holiday season. The song begins by painting a picturesque scene of the holiday season with sleigh bells ringing and choirs singing, all while anticipating what gifts Santa may bring. The chorus, "It's the warm and fuzzy time of year," symbolizes the warmth and joy that comes with the holidays. The second verse continues the imagery of the winter season with families out shopping, snowflakes falling, and temperature dropping. The mention of elves working overtime to make toys, and reindeer hooves landing on rooftops is an allusion to the classic tale of Santa Clause and his team of magical reindeer delivering presents to children on Christmas Eve. The song concludes by referencing the coziness of traditional holiday activities, like drinking steaming apple cider by a cozy fire and dozing off with the feeling of warmth and comfort.
In summary, the lyrics of "Warm and Fuzzy" celebrate the holiday spirit and the traditions that come with it. The song highlights the beauty of this special time of year and invites the listener to join in on the warm and fuzzy feeling that the holiday season brings.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite videos of Billy Gilman of all time. It is so timeless because of the music and because he's wearing a suit and because of the overall presentation of both his performance and the video itself. And he really acts like he's enjoying what he is doing and that is what's so hot about it.
