Heavy
Bin-Jip Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Please, could you drive a little faster
Please, could you grab a bit tighter, longer
Look, here we cross another border
I never ease, I′m a dependent independent
A libertine's daughter

Look, here′s a prey for your fox eye
Can't stop the avalanche inside
Hooked up, another check we can come by
Who knows which stars align tonight

It's all there
The world in the candle light
The downfall in a pure drop
In the twitch of a wrinkle
In a minute that you stop
It′s all there
The world in the candle light
The downfall in a pure drop
In the twitch of a wrinkle
In a minute that you stop

No, it′s never enough
Never enough, never enough,
No, no, no, no,
It's never enough, never enough
Never enough, no, no
It′s never enough
Never enough, enough, never, never
It's never enough, never enough

It′s all there
It's all there
It′s all there
It's all there
It's all there
The world in the candle light
The downfall in a pure drop
In the twitch of a wrinkle
In a minute that you stop
It′s all there
The world in the candle light
The downfall in a pure drop
In the twitch of a wrinkle
In a minute that you stop

It′s all there
The world in the candle light
The downfall in a pure drop
In the twitch of a wrinkle
In a minute that you stop
It's all there
The world in the candle light
The downfall in a pure drop
In the twitch of a wrinkle
In a minute that you stop

And it′s never enough
Never enough, never enough,
No, no, no, no
It's never enough
Never enough, never enough,
No, no
It′s never enough, never enough
Never enough
No, no, never
It's never enough, never enough,

It′s all there...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Bin-Jip's song "Heavy" seem to be a reflection on the constant search for satisfaction and fulfillment in life. The singer pleads for more speed and intensity, and seems to be crossing a border of some kind. They describe themselves as a "dependent independent" and "a libertine's daughter," which suggests a rebellious, free-spirited attitude. The next lines reference a fox eye and an avalanche, which could represent the overwhelming, unpredictable nature of life. The singer is hooked on the thrill and excitement, but also acknowledges that they don't know what the future holds ("Who knows which stars align tonight").

The chorus repeatedly asserts that it's "never enough," which could refer to the craving for more experiences, stimulation, or success. Despite the frequent and intense peaks of excitement, the singer seems to feel the overall weight and downfall of life, which is represented by the "pure drop" and the "twitch of a wrinkle." The imagery is opaque but poetic, suggesting that there is beauty and significance in even the smallest moments of existence. The repeated refrain of "It's all there" reinforces this idea, that everything we need or want in life is already present, if only we can recognize it.

Overall, the lyrics to "Heavy" convey a complex mix of desire, restlessness, and existential questioning. The singer is both exhilarated and exhausted by life's twists and turns, and seems to yearn for a deeper sense of satisfaction or meaning.

Respect!
