1) The first is an alternative hip hop duo from Queens, New York, consisting of Andres Dres Titus and William Mista Lawnge McLean. They were a part of the Native Tongues Posse, which included Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. They debuted in 1991 with the hit song "Flavor of the Month" and later released their first album, A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, which gained them praise and recognition in the hip-hop community for its unique rhythms and intelligent lyrics.
A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing charted three times on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1992 with "The Choice Is Yours" (#9), and "Strobelite Honey" (#1). Black Sheep were also featured on Vanessa Williams' album, Work To Do (#8).
Black Sheep was also one of the first groups to parody gangsta rap (still in its infancy when A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing was released) in the hilariously over the top "U Mean I'm Not." It describes in cringing detail a dream one of the members had about shooting his sister for staying in the bathroom too long, and his mother for breaking his egg yolk while cooking breakfast. When he is roused from his sleep, he tells his friends in a bewildered, almost frightened voice, "I dreamed that I was... hard."
The group's second album, Non-Fiction, was seen as not living up to the group's well-established talents. Due to virtually no promotion and a generally poor reception, the album managed only lackluster sales. Titus and McLean would separate soon afterwards to attend to various independent projects. In 2000, they reunited to record a track for the movie Once in the Life. Dres is currently planning to release a new mixtape titled 8WM under the name Black Sheep, scheduled for release in the summer of 2006. Mr. Lawnge, now known as Mr. Long, has distanced himself from this new release.
Dres was featured on the second Handsome Boy Modeling School album, White People, on the track "First...and Then".

Listen, hon, I mean, ah, as slamming as you are and all that good stuff;
It ain't doing me no good out here cause you got too many clothes on.
So why don't we just take this cab and uh, slide on uptown and uh,
slip out of this comfortablenesses of the world around us. Do you know
what, you know what I am saying babes? Matter of fact uhhhhh
Listen to me honey,
If sexy were a virus,
Then you have a disease.
Slamming is your styling
Let me speak for a while and
Tell you all about the grand slamming.
Why are you smiling?
Let's do the uptown slide,
Don't need a transfer or auto ride.
We only need a cab with us inside.
Finally finally we got uptown,
And when we got uptown,
Honey's drawers came down.
Did the audio visual,
She had the residual.
Bah bah Dress, now tell me have you any pull.
I said honey uhh, again I said it slow.
Coming out the boxers and my joint will surely grow.
Then she started feeling,
Yes it was appealing.
I thought of slamming girlfriend from the floor to the ceiling.
We started five play,
She said that she would come.
I said it wasn't four play,
Because I used my thumb.
Nibbled on her neck,
Oh, what the heck,
She said, 'one two, one two' and went down for a mic check.
Her mike sounds nice check one.
Her mike sounds nice check two.
She did this 'till it was all gone.
I told her to slow down.
But she kept on.
[Chorus]
And on, and on, and on, she kept on [Repeat: x 4]
You gotta do something about those wisdom teeth baby. (added during second line)
Though your sounding as good as a CD.
Everything was Dolby, or rather was okay.
She was playing Frito and I play the Lay.
Then I heard a knock only to hear a voice say.
Yo, you can't have a show without the DJ.
I entered in my drawers, to show that I was live.
The hoe didn't believe that I was nine point five.
She said, 'Let me see it Long, may I see it please?'
I said, 'Yeah, get a good look. Drop to your knees.'
I was erectified. I gave her the proof.
And then I suggested a little roof roof.
She was uptight, I said, 'Hon, there's nothing wrong,
I'm the sugar dick daddy Mister Long.'
Don't get offended by the position I recommended.
Doggy style is my shit.
The bottom is what I hit.
I didn't eat her,
Or Rita, just beat her,
Bonita, Bonita, Bonita
Uhh!
Tip and Sugar Dick, blazing trails of evil.
Long you got the felt cause I sure enough got the needle.
Now put them on the arm that pertrudes like a stick.
And live up to your name,
Mister Long Sugar Dick.
As the dookie hits the fan,
Here comes the horny man
To finish up the task.
So I'm scoping out that ass.
Long, she wants it,
Her hands spread the butt cheeks.
Tip plus Long plus the hoe equals wet sheets.
[Talking]
God damn.
Yo, somebody give me,
A horny time.
Somebody give me a ho.
Spread the ass.
Just give me a ho.
No man.
Somebody give me a ho.
I'm gonna come in your face.
Somebody give me a ho.
I'm coming, in your face.
Somebody give me a ho.
I'm gonna come in your face.
Somebody give me a ho.
Bitch just let me pee on you.
Let me pee on you.
Let me pee on you.
Somebody give me a ho.
I've got the anal sun god.
I've got the anal sun god.
Let me pee on you.
Somebody give me a ho.
Ahh!
I can't hold it no more.
[Chorus x 4]
The song "La Menage" by Black Sheep is a highly sexual and graphic representation of a one-night stand. The lyrics are an explicit description of the encounter between the singer and his sexual partner. The song opens with the singer’s urge to be with his partner in a more private setting, expressing his feelings that her clothes are getting in the way of intimacy. He then proceeds to compliment her and tell her that she is disease-like sexy. The singer goes on to describe their heated sexual encounter, saying that they “slid uptown” and she finally took off her undergarments. He describes their foreplay, eventually climaxing into a detailed description of the actual sexual act, including explicit language and suggestions for different positions.
On the other hand, the song could also be interpreted as a commentary on the objectification of women and the casual nature of sexual encounters. The lyrics express the idea that women are just an object to be used for sexual pleasure. The singer uses language that objectifies women, calling them “hoes” and referring to parts of their bodies in a derogatory way.
Interestingly, the song contains references to various urban areas in New York City, such as the “uptown slide” and a “cab ride”. These references link the song directly to the hip-hop culture of New York City. "La Menage" is a controversial song, as it has received criticism for being sexist and promoting casual sexual encounters rather than healthy relationships. Despite the controversy, the song remains a classic within the hip-hop genre.
