Blacklite District is originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota, and was founded by guitarist Kyle Pfeiffer, and vocalist Roman James. After years of writing songs and playing live in the Black Hills area, Kyle and Roman were discovered by Grammy Award-winning producer, Stephen Short in early 2011. This brought upon two new members to bring into the equation, bassist Chauncey “CK” Köchel, and session drummer Matt O'Rourke. CK and Matt began rehearsing with the band in the weeks leading up to entering the world’s largest residential recording studio, Sonic Ranch. With producer Stephen Short and engineer Charles Godfrey on board, Blacklite District recorded their 7-track debut album, “This is Where it Ends”, in the summer of 2011.
Following the completion of the album, the band relocated to Los Angeles, and has accomplished a lot in a short period of time. On September 30, the group's first single, "I'm Stil Right Here", debuted at Active Rock Radio in 5 states in the Midwest on X-ROCK 101.1 (KDDX), where it eventually hit the Top 20. On October 28, BLD debuted live at the World Famous Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA. On 11-11-11, "This is Where it Ends" went on sale to digital retailers and has so far gotten rave reviews.
With a debut album out worldwide, a hit single at radio, and up-coming tour dates, it’s sure to say that this band strives for success. “We look forward to touring and getting our music out there,” says singer Roman James. “We know people are going to dig what they hear, especially if they’re tired of all the generic sounding music being released in todays 'sub-par' music industry.” Blacklite District combines heaviness with catchiness and has a distinct sound that separates them from other bands.
In early 2012, the band began a monumental promotion campaign in support of "This is Where it Ends", which will continue through out the year. The band's second single, "Left Behind", will be released to radio in new markets.
In the fall of 2012, BLD relocated from Hollywood, CA to Orlando, FL after signing a new management deal with famed Creed and Paramore manager Jeff Hanson, and will release a new album in late 2012 on Silent Majority Group/Warner Music Group.

Them Days
Blacklite District Lyrics

I have good days, i insist on dying
I Live those days, i keep 'em exciting
OOOOOhhhhh Yea Yea
Them Days
Month away from my Home, I'm out here on my own
That's how the Story goes, on the path that i chose
I got shoes with no souls, sail the seas 'til i'm old
When they hit the lights, cut me down to size
You can scream what you like, we're here to do work tonight
All in All
It goes on an on
I have bad days, i keep on fighting
I have good days, i insist on dying
I Live those days, i keep 'em exciting
OOOOOhhhhh Yea Yea
Them Days
I got nobody to blame, it's kind of hard to explain
Hanging my head in shame, i think i'm going insane
When they hit the lights, cut me down to size
On and on
I have bad days, i keep on fighting
I have good days, i insist on dying
I Live those days, i keep 'em exciting
OOOOOhhhhh Yea Yea
Them Days
Watch for the days, don't count me out
I know what it's like to scream and shout
Deep inside i wanna cast a doubt
But now i know what it's all about
I have bad days, i keep on fighting
I have good days, i insist on dying
I Live those days, i keep 'em exciting
OOOOOhhhhh Yea Yea
I have bad days, i keep on fighting
I have good days, i insist on dying
I Live those days, i keep 'em exciting
OOOOOhhhhh Yea Yea
Them days
In Blacklite District's song Them Days, the artist is exploring the ups and downs of life. The first verse explores the artist's struggle with mental health, describing how they keep fighting on bad days and insisting on dying on good days. However, the chorus brings it all together with the artist proclaiming that they keep these days exciting, suggesting that the highs and lows of life both make for an interesting journey.
The second verse delves into the loneliness of life on the road, with the artist feeling isolated and even insane at times. However, once again, the chorus brings the message that these struggles are simply part of life and should be embraced.
The final verse is a more empowering message, with the artist encouraging listeners to not count them out, acknowledging that while they have felt doubts in the past, they now know what it's all about.
Overall, the song captures the rollercoaster of emotions that come with living life to the fullest, and how it's important to embrace both the good and the bad days.
