@Yuge Maga listen..

Just because cell phone towers work with radiation, it does not mean they'll cook us like the demon core but slower.

Key word is: Ionizing radiation.
The demon core emitted Ionizing radiation, meaning the radiation has the power to split atoms. Which then again messes up DNA.

Cell Phone towers don't use Ionizing radiation. It does not harm your DNA.

The difference is like this:

If you put a bullet to the head yould be dead.

If you take one cotton ball to the head nothing happens.

Now take as many cotton balls to the head till you have the same energy of the bullet in sum...

Still, you'd be fine!

As a retired laboratory scientist, I can tell you that the greatest threat in any lab is complacency. In order to combat this threat, our lab would rotate scientists into different tasks to keep them "fresh".

As a chemist, 100% true. Some of my uni teachers would even laugh when we were ultra careful handling strong acids, saying we were "slowpokes" and "chicken" for wanting extra protective equipment.

That makes a lot of sense.

As a controls engineer involved with programming test cells that make use of high temperatures and high speed machinery, I can tell you that I am always first thinking of what I can do to make sure nobody gets hurt by what I'm doing. Next priority is to prevent damage to customer hardware, third is the facility, and fourth is to meet test requirements. After all that I consider how to make improvements to cost and schedule. Considering these things in any other order is asking for accidents that make things much worse.

@Clo Mo Replies like yours have degraded people’s ability to have proper discourse about a debatable topic. Saying, “That’s bullshit,” literally adds nothing to the conversation. Bringing up evidence-based counterpoints is how a discussion is supposed to happen. But all the idiots who liked your asinine comment think that saying, “Shut up! You’re wrong and stupid!” think that that’s the way to win an argument.

And honestly this isn't so many different jobs of course doing with dangerous chemicals or radio radioactive material not even if you do survive more than likely you will have a very painful death later on complacency is definitely the most dangerous thing in jobs where there's a very real chance of death from a careless act because you've been doing it for so long that you don't think of it as dangerous

Fermi was especially known for his estimation skills, being able to estimate most things without direct data to within order of magnitude (questions like "How many piano tuners are in the city of Chicago?" are called Fermi Problems for a reason). So if he says you are going to die within a year you better listen.

@DeusEversor not even Final Estimation, come on

Silver Beard Guerrilla

Fermi knew the material and basic human nature along with all it's fallacies . It's called Fuck around and find out .
