I Want It
Blue October Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

To all of you in the way
I push you aside
Flames burn down together
I refuse to ignite
I won't walk away (that is not in me)
No, no, no that is not
I'm here to stay
So I raise my hand in grace
Pray for the ones I wish I could erase
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Live for the moment and the mystery of everybody owns a scar
To show us how we got this far
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Don't ever think you'll take away the fight in me

I want it, I want it, I, I want it
I want it, I want, want it more then you ever did
I want it, I want it, I, I want it
I want it, I want, want it more then you ever did

Here's to starting over
I heard you're shutting down shop boy I'm taking it over yeah
I'm never gonna stop
Oh I'm never gonna stop
Here's to the ones who said that you couldn't win
Here's to the crazies getting under your skin yeah
They're always gonna talk
Oh but I'm never gonna stop
I won't walk away
(I want it crave it, I want it crave it, bottle up and save it)
I'm here to stay (I want it, crave it, I won't behave I'll turn it up more)

So I raise my hand in grace
Pray for the ones I wish I could erase
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Live for the moment and the mystery of everybody owns a scar
To show us how we got this far
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Don't ever think you'll take away the fight in me

I want it, I want it, I, I want it
I want it, I want, want it more then you ever did
I want it, I want it, I, I want it
I want it, I want, want it more then you ever did

I want it
More then you ever did
I want it
I want it, I want, want it more then you ever did

Oh we raise my hand in grace
Pray for the ones we wish we could erase
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Live for the moment and the mystery of everybody owns a scar
To show us how we got this far
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Don't ever think you'll take away the fight in me

Oh we raise my hand in grace
Pray for the ones we wish we could erase
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Live for the moment and the mystery of everybody owns a scar
To show us how we got this far
'Cause we are who we are and we'll be who we'll be
Don't ever think you'll take away the fight in me

I want it

I, I, I want it, I want it
I want it, want it more then you ever did

@CancerWarrior !! once again you come off like a moron acting like you know what youre talking about...i was in a minimum, got in trouble for defending myself, did 2 months in seg, then went to a max(cci). Got a tutor job there right away. And you act like writing to congressman actually does something. Are you new to how politics works in the us??? Lobbying groups keep marijuana illegal as much as they can in a majority of states, or politicians that arent up to date with current science....

CancerWarrior !!

@Caleb Darling In your previous statement, you were saying that you were locked up in a max security facility and you were a tutor. I'm sorry but I'm calling bs, because no marjiunia offense will get you in a max security prison unless there are other circumstances. When an educated member of society doesn't agree with a law, they write their Congress letters, make phone calls, not just bitch about it and break the law. Ignorance isn't bs. If the laws are so unjust in the US, why not just move to another country. Boo hoo, the laws are so unjust..... They are there to protect members of society.

Caleb Darling

@CancerWarrior !! well, im not a liberal, and ive said nothing about sympathizing over inmates...plenty of inmates do deserve to be behind bars, away from society..not all of them though. I was in prison for a pot related offense. No violent nature whatsoever to my crime...fuck that bullshit argument about knowing the laws, when the laws in question are unjust, its not a valid argument at all. I was 16, and got prison time for pot...no record before said charge either.

CancerWarrior !!

Caleb Darling boo hoo, they are not bad people. Itโ€™s only a cell phone. Sure sounds like liberal tears to me. 15yrs in law enforcement and not a single I A complaint. The hit was put out on me because I kept finding drugs on inmates. They were mad that I was hurting their business. Had nothing to do about being a hard ass. The last inmate I locked up was trying to run drugs when I let him out for art therapy. I give everyone a chance when I first meet them, but I still havenโ€™t meet an inmate that I liked yet. This includes you. You push your very dangerous ideas on people. The poor inmates, itโ€™s so unfair. What about the victimโ€™s family. I have to ask, what crimes are you innocent of. Inmates are predators and only care about themselves.

Caleb Darling

@CancerWarrior !! lol crying about something? Dont believe ive been doin any of that here. But yes, keep exposing your close minded views....im sure youre one of the guards that had a power trip, and that is why you got your ass beat by the inmates...makes sense
