During 1970 and 1971, Wailer, Marley and Tosh worked with renowned reggae producers Leslie Kong and Lee "Scratch" Perry.
They released four albums before signing to Island Records in 1972. Two more albums were created before Tosh and Wailer left the band in 1974, citing grievances over label treatment and ideological differences. Marley carried on with a new line-up, including the I-Threes that put out seven more more albums. Marley died in 1981.
The Wailers were a groundbreaking ska and reggae group, noted for songs such as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "War", "Stir It Up" and "Get Up, Stand Up".

There She Goes
Bob Marley & The Wailers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
There she goes and now my teardrops start
And ere I go once again
Through these lonely heartaches and pain
That's all remain all remain
Now I know love is a guessin' game
She goes with the pieces from my heart
Who's gonna put back the pieces to my broken heart
Once again, once again now I know this could be the end
And she gone with the pieces of my heart
There she goes and now my teardrops start
And here I go once again
Through these lonely heartaches and pain
That's all remain
Now I know this could be the end
She goes with de pieces from my heart
There she goes and now my teardrops start
There she goes with the pieces from my heart
Bob Marley's "There She Goes" is a poignant depiction of the heartbreak that comes with the end of a relationship. The repetition of the chorus, "There she goes with the pieces from my heart," emphasizes the profound emotional pain that the singer is feeling. The image of the woman taking pieces of his heart suggests that the relationship had a profound effect on him, and now that it is over, he feels incomplete, as if parts of him are missing. The tears he sheds further emphasize the depth of his anguish.
The singer also acknowledges that love is a "guessin' game," suggesting that he was never quite sure how the relationship would end. He feels despair at the thought of having to endure the "lonely heartaches and pain" of a breakup once more. The final lines, "Who's gonna put back the pieces to my broken heart...now I know this could be the end," reveal the desperation he feels at the thought of never being able to love again.
