1) A Hard Rock/Nu Metal band from the New York area that was formed in 1996 by friends Chris Lino, James Meselsohn, Mike Meselsohn, and Rob Caggiano. The band would play live settings for several years before finally opening for Orgy on tour in 1999, which helped them secure a recording contract with Roadrunner Records later that year. Their album, which was actually set to be released in early 2000, suffered many delays and didn't end up seeing record store shelves until mid-November of that year as a joint release between the aforementioned Roadrunner Records and Tommy Boy Records. One single was released from the record in "Do It Again", which also saw itself as a part of one of MTV's 'Return Of The Rock' compilations, which came out in June of 2000. The band never got the momentum needed to stay afloat after the album release and broke up in 2001. No post-breakup projects are known about as of this time.
2) Platform Magazine's critically acclaimed electronic music ustream and podcast recorded and broadcast from their custom-built studio, buried somewhere in North-East London. "It's basically an extension, or even evolution, of London's rich pirate radio culture. A small, sweaty room. Great DJs. The odd live performance. Red Stripe. Rum." The FADER

Can I Live
Boiler Room Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It's gotta stop
Conspiring, conspiring minds
The story of my life
Just when you think life gets clear
A thorn in your side
cannot believe
Now that you've taken
There's nothin' left for me
You got your hand out I see
Your nerve I cannot believe
Now that you've token, what's left for me
These people push up on me
All I'm asking is
Can I Live
Won't you please let me live
Just save it for another day
All I'm asking is
Can I Live
Won't you please let me live
They always want something more
Want something from my life
All they want is a piece of me
To bring my demise
You got your hand out I see
Your nerve I cannot believe
Now that you've taken
There's nothing left for me
You got your hand out I see
Your nerve I cannot believe
Now that you've taken, what's left for me
These people push up on me
All I'm asking is
Can I Live
Won't you please let me live
Just save it for another day
All I'm asking is
Can I Live
Won't you please let me live
Can't tell ya how I'm so frustrated about
your attitude, I can't explain it
Gimme some space
You're always in my face all the time
Back off, 'cause I need
some time to think
About the situation that just stinks
Can't tolerate, I'm irate, Just save it
These people push up on me
All I'm asking is
Can I Live
Won't you please let me live
Just save it for another day
All I'm asking is
Can I Live
Won't you please let me live
