2 - a New Zealand-based group from the late '90s.
3 - a Germany-based underground band, formed from members of old-school dark-electro band Placebo Effect and now reborn as The Laughing Dolls.
4 - a Dallas, Texas & Edmond, Oklahoma based electronic music group formed in the late '90s still producing and performing to this day.
1/ According to Songfacts, Breathe hailed from Hampshire, England, where the original five members all grew up and even went to school together at Yateley School. Their first group was larger, six-person band called Catch-22, after the famed novel by Joseph Heller. Theyrimmed down to a quartet to record the album All That Jazz in 1987. This contained their two best-known hits, "How Can I Fall?" and "Hands to Heaven". The latter charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #2 in 1988, and at #4 in the UK. Bassist Micheal Delahunty left the group in 1989 and the remaining three followed "All that Jazz" with the lesser known "Peace of Mind" in early 1990.
Their sound was a combination of light jazz with some pop and soul, somewhat reminiscent of Air Supply or Rick Astley. However, the success was shortlived, and by 1990 they had disbanded.
4 - breathe -- Ridgeback Recordings Dallas, TX U.S.A.
breathe is Doug DuVall and Noel "NTRAIN" Keith. They are a forward thinking eletronic music production/DJ team who shares the common interest in producing, playing, and listening to quality music that must have a groove, soul, and depth. They won't pigeon hole themselves in one genre or style of music and have produced some of the following styles but not limited to: house, deep house, funky house, progressive house, breaks, hip-hop, abstract, experimental, and downtempo. Their ability to blend multiple styles of music into one track gives them a definite production edge on the listener. Give them a listen and let them know what you think---good or bad as their music is not for all listeners but production work is always solid. Peace ~ Soul ~ Spirit---breathe

(Its safer in the backseat)
Well this dispatches a problem for both us
(It's safer in the backseat)
And for me to solve cause you are too weak
(It's safer in the backseat)
If we were to cruise and crash
(It's safer in the backseat)
The sun I see the air I breathe Is being polluted
By your unwelcoming stench and now I'm feeling it once again
It's about time for our souls to entwine
(My Heart Bears A Memory That Will Always Be)
YOU!
This party is continuing until the end of time!
If we were to cruise and to crash
(It's safer in the backseat)
Well this dispatches a problem for both us
(It's safer in the backseat)
And for me to solve cause you are too weak
(It's safer in the backseat)
If we were to cruise and crash
(It's safer in the backseat)
No more starving children
No more lack of water
No more cheating wives
No more stabbing knives
No more raped daughters
No more pigs to the slaughter
Let me hear you MOVE
If we were to cruise and to crash
(It's safer in the backseat)
Well this dispatches a problem for both us
(It's safer in the backseat)
And for me to solve cause you are too weak
(It's safer in the backseat)
If we were to cruise and crash
(It's safer in the backseat)
CHILL
The lyrics of Breathe's song "Get To You" seem to touch upon themes of conflict, toxicity, and the need for change. The repetition of "It's safer in the backseat" suggests a desire to avoid confrontations or challenging situations that could lead to a metaphorical crash. The singer seems to acknowledge a problem that needs to be addressed, but also points out a perceived weakness in the other person that makes it difficult to solve.
The reference to pollution and unwelcoming stench could symbolize the negative influences or emotions that are affecting the relationship. The line "It's about time for our souls to entwine" hints at a longing for deeper connection and understanding despite the current difficulties. The mention of a memory that will always be present suggests a lingering impact of past experiences on the present moment.
The shift in focus towards societal issues in the lines "No more starving children, no more lack of water, no more cheating wives" reflects a broader perspective on the world's injustices and the need for change and action. The call to "MOVE" could be interpreted as a rallying cry for empowerment and mobilization towards creating a better future.
Overall, the song seems to convey a sense of urgency and a call to confront and address challenges, both personal and societal. The repeated assertion that it's safer in the backseat may represent a reluctance to face difficult truths or take risks, but ultimately, there is a need to confront these issues and work towards positive change. The final line "CHILL" could serve as a reminder to stay grounded and calm amidst chaos and turmoil, suggesting the importance of finding balance and peace in the midst of challenges.

Breathe
Ruby Amanfu
Well it's been a longest day.
You wish you could hit your race.
But you are not lucky in that way.
Nobody is lucky that way.
But I want you to stop what you are.
I want you to hear your heart.
Coz that's why you stay in that part.
No need to race that part.
But when you're feeling low.
Ooh yo gotta breathe. breathe. breathe
Let it go and let it be. be. be. Yeah.
I hope that you listen to me.
There's only one thing you gotta do.
That's breathe. breathe, breathe.
Life seems like one big test.
With barely much time to risk.
It goes right when you go left.
It's more than you can digest
But nobody is gonna die
If you say you need some time.
To step back and clear your mind.
Yeah everyone will be fine.
All you need to know.
Is all you gotta breathe breathe. Breathe.
Let it go and let it be, be, be, be
I hope that you listen to me.
There's only one thing you gotta do.
That's breathe. breathe, breathe.
Now breathe in and breathe out, breathe in and breathe out,
have faith and no doubt, you got to realize that is what life is all about
You just got a breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe, let it go and let it be,
be, be, be, I hope that you are listening, there is only one thing you know
you gotta do that's breathe, breathe, breathe, yeah all you got a do is breathe,
breathe, breathe, yeah let me hear you breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe.
