He was part of Vineyard music (UK), and during this time Brenton has been the worship pastor at Oxford Vineyard, UK, and the coordinator of the Vineyard (UK) Worship Development Team. He has since left Vineyard, having spent some time back home in Cape Town. He lives in Malibu, California with his wife, Jude and is doing a solo career. In 2006 he released his first solo album, Everlasting God.
