All Who Are Thirsty
Brenton Brown Lyrics

All who are weak
Come to the fountain
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
In the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
All who are thirsty
All who are weak
Come to the fountain
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
In the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep
(We sing)
Come Lord Jesus come (won't You come my Lord)
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus (Jesus) come
Come Lord Jesus come
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come
Come Lord
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come
As deep cries out to deep
As deep cries out to deep
As deep cries out to deep, we singβ¦
Come Lord Jesus come (won't You come, won't You come, Lord)
Come Lord Jesus (Jesus) come
Oh, come Lord Jesus (the Spirit and the Bride say) come
(Come Lord, come Lord)
Come Lord Jesus come
Come, Lord Jesus come
Oh, come Lord Jesus come
The lyrics of Brenton Brownβs βAll Who Are Thirstyβ describe an invitation to all who are in need of spiritual nourishment and healing to come to the fountain of life, which symbolizes Jesus Christ. It is a call to the weak and the broken-hearted to draw near and immerse themselves in His mercy and love, allowing their past pain and sorrow to be washed away. The phrase βdeep cries out to deepβ suggests the idea of oneβs innermost being crying out to God, and that the Holy Spirit is always ready to respond to this cry. The chorus repeats over and over the invitation for Jesus and the Holy Spirit to come and fill the hearts of the thirsty.
The song speaks to the universal human experience of thirsting for healing, love, and meaning. The fountain represents the presence of God, which promises to satisfy all of our deepest desires. The song encourages the listener to seek this fountain and immerse themselves fully in it. βAll Who Are Thirstyβ is a song of invitation, leading us to see Jesus as the answer to our deepest needs.

It's so strange how the mind works. I used to hate this song because I would hear it all the time as a kid because of the CD my Dad would play all the time. But here I am, coming back to it years later with a nostalgic love for it. I don't really understand it, nor can I explain it, but I actually kind of love this song now.
