Having TWO DRUMMERS is one thing but, THREE DRUMMERS? Worked to perfection here and it is a great rendition of the Eddie Harris classic. A true jazz-rock rendition and a song that never got enough air-play!
jeffthepoet7
Try 4. Brian told me at one of his gigs. Gotta be an octopus to play this one by yourself. Ha!

FOUR drummers - read the album or CD liner notes: Clive Thacker, Barry Reeves, Mickey Waller and Colin Allen

ATMABRAHM
I had this album and listened over and over to the great guitar playing at the beginning!

I talked to Brian Auger about this song, and he said Eddie Harris gave him high praise. My brother played this song all the time and banged his drums to the beat. Get your groove on and "listen here."

@jeffthepoet7 Well... really, then...I had read that it was THREE, but I suppose that once again, you can't believe everything you see on the internet...ah well, my old ears still require listening to this one regularly, and always makes me wonder how I missed it 'Back in the day' . Also makes me realize how rich and plentiful the musical world was at the time. Very fortunate to have been an adolescent with older siblings with large libraries, I reckon...very good years indeed...

@Steve Richter 4 drummers on this one, Brian told me.
jeffthepoet7
@svenolley Brian said he used 4 drummers on the song.
