The Other Side
Bruno Mars feat. Cee Lo Green & B.o.B Lyrics
Truth of the matter is I'm complicated
You're as straight as they come
You go 'bout your day baby
While I hide from the sun
It's better if you don't understand
'Cause you won't know what it's like
Until you try
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other side
I could wait a whole life time
But you just gotta decide
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other
Waiting on the other side
We would live forever
Who could ask for more
You could die if you wanted
But baby what for
It's better if you don't understand
And you won't know what it's like
Until you try
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other side
And you, all you gotta do is cross the line
I could wait a whole life time
But you just gotta decide
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other
Waiting on the other side
If they say life's a dream
Call this insomnia
'Cause this ain't Wonderland
It damn sure ain't Narnia
And once you cross the line
You can't change your mind
Yeah I'm a monster
But I'm no Frankenstein
And quite frankly
I've been feeling insane in between my eyes
I really can't explain what I feel inside
If you knew what I was you'd run and hide
Many have tried to go into the night
Cross over the line and come back alive
But that's the price we pay when we living on the other side
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other side
And you, all you gotta do is cross the line
I could wait a whole life time
But you just gotta decide
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other
Waiting on the other side
It's better if you don't understand
It's better if you don't understand
It's better if you don't understand
It's better if you don't understand
It's better if you don't understand
It's better if you don't understand

"The Other Side" is talking about how Bruno Mars, Cee-Lo, and B.o.B are so different that they live in a whole other realm, where people won’t understand unless they’ve been there. And when other people get there, they won’t appreciate it as much, so it would be better if they just didn’t understand at all.

Truth of the matter is I'm complicated
You're as straight as they come
You go 'bout your day, baby
While I hide from the sun
[Pre-Chorus]
It's better if you don't understand
'Cause you won't know what it's like until you try
[Chorus]
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other side
And you, all you gotta do is cross the line
I could wait a whole lifetime
But you just gotta decide
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other
Waiting on the other side
[Verse 2]
We would live forever
Who could ask for more?
You could die if you wanted
But baby, what for?
[Pre-Chorus]
It's better if you don't understand
And you won't know what it's like until you try
[Chorus]
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other side
And you, all you gotta do is cross the line
I could wait a whole lifetime
But you just got to decide
You know I, I'll be waiting on the other
Waiting on the other side
[Verse 3]
If they say life's a dream, call this insomnia
'Cause this ain't Wonderland, it damn sure ain't Narnia
And once you cross the line, you can't change your mind
Yeah, I'm a monster, but I'm no Frankenstein
And quite frankly, I've been feelin' insane in between my eyes

Such an underrated song.
Bruno goes so hard on this, never disappointed. he is not like other rappers who are going viral by using AUTHENTIC views to get the views up. Thumbs up who agree

This Bruno era makes me feel so nostalgic, especially since his music changed so much. His old music was so innocent. 2010 was just a much more innocent time in general, before social media got out of hand and politics and political correctness became such integral parts of our lives. What makes it feel even more innocent to me is that I constantly listened to Bruno's old music when I was in elementary school, back when life was simple and my only worry was what game I'd play at recess that day. I associate it with that wonderful time in my life. As a kid, I would spend hours watching Bruno Mars music videos, interviews and concert footage. When I was 9 or 10 I used to listen to Doo Wops and Hooligans every night before I went to sleep. This song in particular is very nostalgic for me. I'm not sure why, but maybe because it's the last song on Doo Wops and Hooligans, making it the last one I would hear before falling asleep. Now, I'm 18 years old. It's just insane how time flies. So many things have changed, Bruno's music being one of them. His new music is fine, and I like it. But that's it. It'll never hold the same place in my heart that the simple, sweet and innocent music of the Doo Woops and Hooligans era does.

@Sprout Natalie's pretty violent too lol
framey
Political correctness is not an integral part of my life - nor, indeed, a part of my life at all.
