C.O.A.G. Lyrics

Yeah
Alright
Uh
Love me
Yeah He really love me
He do
Father lookin' way down
Uh huh
There's no one above thee
Yahweh is the way now
I'll forever trust thee
Yeah I'm livin' saved now
Felt Him when He touched (Alright) me
Touched me
Told all my sins to retire
Hmm
You know the devil's a liar
Yeah
Alpha, Omega, the Jireh
Uh huh
Called on His name brought me higher
Getting to know the Lord my desire
Preparing to be ready for Messiah
Don't wanna be left to the left of Him
Right when I'm next to Him
Right side He's blessin' and
I wanna be where you are
I wanna be right there
I wanna be where you are
'Cause I know my life's there
I wanna be where you are
Today and not tomorrow
Blessin' (He blessin') me
He make (He makin') me rich
And adding no more sorrow, no sorrow
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
My God, my God, my God, my God
Love (Love Him) Him
Yeah I really love (I do) Him
Father lookin' way (Way down) down
There's no one above (Na na na na) Him
Yahweh is the way now
I'll forever trust (Yeah yeah) Him
Satan better stay (Stay down) down
Can't nobody touch Him, touch Him
The way, and the life, and the truth
Yeah
No man knowing God but through you
Uh huh
Hosanna, Jehovah, Jesus
You know
All praise to the Most High is due, is due
Getting to know the Lord my desire
Preparing to be ready for Messiah
Don't wanna be left to the left of Him
Right when I'm next to Him
Right side He's blessin' and
I wanna be where you are
I wanna be right there, yeah
I wanna be where you are
'Cause I know my life's (You know I do Lord) there
I wanna be where you are
Today and not tomorrow
Blessin' (He blessin') me, yeah
He make (He makin') me rich, look
And adding no more sorrow, no sorrow
Ain't never met nobody better
Don't bother debating about it
Only be bettin' on Lord God
You're the one and only I can depend on my Lord God
Given' all my glory, and honor, and praise to Lord God
Yeah the Lord holdin' me down
Weight of the crown heavy
Surrendered my all at the altar
Now my whole life's steady
And I'm on a new level with a better future
Lookin' at the view now clear 'cause the Lord's right there
My God, my God, put 'em up, put 'em up, put your hands up high
My God, my God, Heโ€™s the ficka ficka ficka ficka El Shaddai
My God
My God, my God, put 'em up, put 'em up, put your hands up high
My God, my God, Heโ€™s the ficka ficka ficka ficka El Shaddai
My God
My God, my God, put 'em up, put 'em up, put your hands up high
My God, my God, Heโ€™s the ficka ficka ficka ficka El Shaddai
My God, my God, put 'em up, put 'em up, put your hands up high
That's God
My God, my God, my God, my God, Heโ€™s the ficka ficka ficka ficka El Shaddai
Put 'em up, put 'em up, put your hands up high
Heโ€™s the ficka ficka ficka ficka El Shaddai, Jesus
Put 'em up, put 'em up, put your hands up high

Heโ€™s the
My God, my God, my God, my God

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to C.O.A.G.'s song IV are about Brooklyn, and the members of the group proclaim their allegiance to the borough throughout the song. The first verse, rapped by O.C., is a warning to other rappers that M.O.P. and O.C. are not to be messed with. O.C. declares that he is taking things back to "some Brooklyn shit," and warns other rappers that they could end up in the East River if they cross him. The second verse, rapped by Lil' Fame, contains several references to gun violence and his own reputation as a tough guy. He warns others not to mess with M.O.P. or O.C., and claims that they hold down Brooklyn by leaving "them things smoking." The final verse, rapped by Billy Danze, continues the theme of Brooklyn toughness and bragging, proclaiming that Danze will "tear your ass to pieces" if you cross him, and that he is one of the "dudes that niggaz refuse to believe in."
