Cabas released his self-titled album, "Cabas", in 2000, which he hoped to be popular and joyful. It became a huge success in Colombia, where his single Mi Bombón (My Lollipop) lead the charts of radio stations for three consecutive months, earning him a Gold Disc and a double Platinum disc. To boost his success, Cabas begins a tour around Colombia, and reaches out to Venezuela and Ecuador, where he became highly popular among both the young and the old, because of the eclectic mixture of cumbia and rock in his songs. His playful and warm personality can be seen during his performances.
In 2002, Cabas began to promote his music in Latin America and the United States, receiving good reviews and even a feature article in the Billboard magazine. Cabas has shared his stage with stars such as Lenny Kravitz in Mexico, and Shakira and Miguel Bosé in Spain.
In 2003, his second album Contacto (Contact), redefined his style. Contacto mixed percussion and drums with bass and rock beats, and his first single, La Caderona (The Big-hipped Woman) recalled Mi Bombón's success. Cabas' first music video, from the song Leche (Milk), premiered around this time on MTV Latin America. Other singles such as Bolita de Trapo (Little Ball of Rags) also led the charts in Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador. Cabas has recently been promoting his music in France.
His participation in a tribute concert to the legendary musician Carlos Santana increased his exposure. Cabas won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist, the MTV Latin Awards for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Interpretation, and the People's Price and Best Rock Video in the Lo Nuestro Awards.
On 2005, Cabas released his third album, Puro Cabas (Pure Cabas), which proved to be yet another huge success. Cabas' first single, La Cadena de Oro (The Gold Locket), was a major hit in Latin America, along with its music video that stayed MTV's top ten for quite a while. This hit was followed immediately by his second single, Increíble (Incredible).

Que en el día es humano
Y en la noche un desquiciado
Predador así me tienes
Cuanta ansiedad, juegos de amor
Cuanto sudor, cuanta pasión
La noche para tenerte
Sale la luna y de antro
En antro sigo tu rastro
Llega la noche y no te he tocado
Como un perro moribundo
Le aúllo a la luna llena
Llega la noche y estás en mis brazos
Entonces la noche entera
Te llenaré con mi canto
Ay amor, me despierto soñando
Que llegue la noche
En un animal me has transformado
En mensajero de tus deseos
Un esclavo de tu piel
Ya no tengo voluntad
Cuanto placer puedo aguantar
Tú tratas de averiguar
Con tu boca que está más
Loca que mil bestias hermosas
Sale la luna y de antro
En antro sigo tu rastro
Llega la noche y no te he tocado
Como un perro moribundo
Le aúllo a la luna llena
Llega la noche y estás en mis brazos
Entonces la noche entera
Te llenaré con mi canto
Ay amor, me despierto soñando
Que llegue la noche
Que llegue la noche
The song "Llega La Noche" by Cabas is a romantic, seductive track that speaks to the intense desire and passion between two lovers. The lyrics describe the singer's transformation into an animalistic creature, a werewolf, who waits for the arrival of nightfall in order to be with his beloved. He is consumed by her and her desires, and is willing to do anything to fulfill them.
Throughout the verse, we see the singer's duality between man and beast, a theme that is reinforced by the use of animalistic imagery. He is described as a "predator," and his intense passion is compared to animal behavior such as howling at the moon. His love for his partner is all-consuming, and he is willing to submit to her every whim and desire. The lyrics suggest that he has lost control of himself, and is entirely at the mercy of his lover's wants and needs.
The chorus is a pleading refrain, begging for the arrival of the night so that he can finally be with his beloved. The repetition of the phrase "llega la noche" (the night arrives) reinforces the longing and anticipation in the singer's heart. The song is a powerful ode to intense desire and the all-encompassing nature of love.
Overall, "Llega La Noche" is a beautiful and impassioned love song that speaks to the intense desire and passion between two people. The animalistic imagery and supernatural undertones only serve to underscore the intensity of the singer's feelings.
