I'm just saying that number could be higher. I respect this band and want to see them grow since I prefer their music over modern pop, and I'm not saying you don't feel the same way. I hold Cage the Elephant and Twenty-One Pilots (just an example) in equal esteem, so I'd hope the former can reach the popularity of the latter. Also, on your topic of them being just about the music, have you even seen the video that this comment section is a part of? A lot of hardwork went into creating the visuals, not just the music. Cage the Elephant may, as you claim, focus on their music on stage, but these videos are batshit crazy, which I love. I believe what you meant was they don't pander to general audiences. I haven't heard of any of the sex on stage shenanigans you mentioned, but I will believe some occasions have happened considering new bands starting out. I follow Matt and Juliette on instagram and I have noticed that they're never in pictures together anymore. I was sad when I heard that they were getting a divorce. Out of pain comes amazing art, however, and I'm interested in hearing the other tracks. I've seen Cage a few times live and I've been a fan for most of their career. It is so cool to see how they have evolved. They never let me down!

Isn't it haunting a bit ? Basically, if this song is about Matt's divorce - compare it with "Cigarette daydreams". The CD is a bit upbeat, full of compassion, love and hope, this one is just "come on, we both know it ain't working, let's end it". Like a whole relationship bordered with these two songs. Oh my fucking life, I just discovered this son while I was doing some mechanical work on my writing. I'm shocked, this song put me out of the sleepiness and made me shed in tears. It represents a lot of the things I'm emotionally struggling with Venezuela, my country... so much beauty in the people and the places, but also so much destruction, pain, grieving and violence. It hit hard on me... I've never put much attention on this band, but I'm just so shocked that I'm sure that anything I get to listen from them will be of my favorite from now on.

Almost 10 years ago, I saw Cage the Elephant in West Palm Beach at Buzz Bake Sale... fast forward 10 years, I was lucky to be part of their tour with Beck and saw them a few days ago in Tampa. They've come such long way, to become one of the greatest rock n roll bands ever.... In my opinion ❤ I'm honored to have been part of the group's growth and healing through this tour even if n some minor, indirect way. These guys have been through so much over the past few years, a lot of pain, grief and loss... Yet they kept going. They're inspiring.
