All the Way
Calloway Lyrics

You ready to do it
(Yeah, you ready)
Let's walk

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
There's only way to love
That's all the way
There's only way to love
That's all the way

I used to give only half of me
The other girls seemed
To want a piece

But you're the kind
That deserves the best
I know what you need
And I will give no less

There's only way to love
That's all the way
There's only way to love
That's all the way

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

I really know just what you need
That's why love comes guaranteed
I know this thought
That gets you hot, girl
I won't stop 'til you get enough

There's only one way to love you
That's all the way
There's only one way to love you
That's all the way, night and day

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

Anything in my way
(All the way, all the way
All the way, all the way...)

There's only one way to love you
That's all the way
There's only one way to love you
That's all the way

One way to, one way to
Love you, to love you
One way to, one way to
Love you, to love you

One way to, one way to
Love you, to love you
One way to, one way to

There's only one way to love you
That's all the way
There's only one way to love you
That's all the way

There's only one way to love you
That's all the way
There's only one way to love you
That's all the way, night day

There's only one way to love you

(All the way, all the way)
That's all the way...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Calloway's song "All the Way" speak of a love that is fully committed and unconditional. The singer expresses that he used to only give half of himself in past relationships, but he realizes that his current partner deserves the best and he is willing to give his all. He promises to love her entirely, without holding back or giving only a piece of himself. He understands what she needs and guarantees to fulfill her desires. The lyrics also suggest that the love is reciprocal, with lines such as "I know this thought that gets you hot, girl, I won't stop 'til you get enough."

The chorus repeats that there is only one way to love, and that is to do it "all the way." This phrase, repeated throughout the song, reinforces the idea of complete and unequivocal love. The use of repetition further emphasizes the message, almost making it an anthem for a love that is fully committed.

This beat is the shit. I remember dancing off this in Seoul Korea when I was stationed overseas. The brothers did this one right. No a curse word, sexual innuendo. This is back in the days when groups really sang a song in the 1990's and not one profanity uttered like the sorry music of today.
