The group was formed in the 1990s in Boston, Massachusetts by Viola and drummer Todd Foulsham, with other performers. Viola and Foulsham moved to New York City and the pair began appearing as a stripped-down acoustic duo. Viola has since kept the band name alive with various lineups and recording projects. Foulsham left the group in the mid-90s when the band's future was uncertain, but returned to perform on 2004's Hang On Mike. The pair have also begun playing as an acoustic duo again in the mid-2000s.
Kiss Alive II
Candy Butchers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Sad to see you go
So glad we made it
So glad we stayed friends after all
Peavey amps and Roto toms
Butchered our favorite songs
No harm in trying
I gave you Bennie and the Jets
You gave me Kiss Alive II
I gave you Bennie and the Jets
You gave me Kiss Alive II
Down in the basement after school
Girlfriends by the pool
So sure we'd make it
Looks like we made it after all
I gave you Bennie and the Jets
You gave me Kiss Alive II
I gave you Bennie and the Jets
You gave me Kiss Alive II
My friend Todd, it's not another day for you
You've got a little girl to show
Who the world belongs to
And I'm so proud of you now
So glad we made it
So glad we stayed friends after all
