Everything We Want
Chanté Moore Lyrics

Than you feel
Our love can't be what it should be
Not until
We face our fears internally from the past
And forgive ourselves for moving way too fast
If we continue not to let it go
With hearts made of bitter stone
Unable to give or receive love, right
Just want to grow gray and old
And live and die in happiness as one soul
So come on, let's move on
Out of this storm
Everything we want
We can have baby
If we both want it bad enough, I know
Everything we want
We can have baby
But we must build our faith and trust, our love
We need to share the things we think, honestly
Without sacrificing peace and made uneasy
We must revive the trust between us once again
And share just as much when we were friends
Even after all that we've been through
I don't want nobody else but you
Better days are overdue for us two
Baby I just want to
Just want to grow gray and old
And live and die in happiness as one soul
So come on, let's move on
Through the storm, hey
Everything we want
We can have baby
If we both want it bad enough, I know
Everything we want
We can have baby
But we must build our faith and trust, our love
Why are we living in unhappiness
And constantly stressed
(Constantly stressed)
Forgetting how blessed we are to be together
We can do much better
I'm ready for a change
And I'm hoping you feel the same
So, oh baby
Everything we want
But we gotta believe, gotta believe
That we can have it
Believe that everything
Everything we want
We can have baby
If we both want it bad enough, I know
Everything we want
We can have baby
But we must build our faith and trust, our love
The lyrics to Chanté Moore's song Everything We Want depict a couple facing challenges in their relationship due to their past experiences and fears. The singer wishes to be emotionally closer to her partner but acknowledges that their love cannot be fully realized until they confront and forgive themselves for past mistakes. The theme of forgiveness and trust is emphasized throughout the song as the couple seeks to revive the trust between them and share their thoughts and feelings honestly.
The lyrics also paint a picture of a couple longing for a future of happiness and contentment as they grow old together. The chorus expresses their belief that they can have everything they want in their relationship if they both work hard enough at building their faith and trust in each other. The song ends with the message that it's time to move past the storms and grow together as a couple.
