With a brand new girl on your arm
Everytime it rained
Used to say one girl is not enough
Now you can't believe you let them go
Fell in love
You was a pimp, playboy
Now I'm in your life
I'm exempt
Cause I've got your heart
And now you belong to me, yeah
1 - When it comes to me
I get what I want
Cause I made you fall in love
When it comes to me
You don't have control
Cause I beat you at your game
I beat you at your own game
When it comes to me
Now when you go dancing your with me
No wandering eyes, cause I trained you
To respect me
You're thinking twice now cause you're sprung
You called your mama
And you told her that I was the one
You was a pimp, playboy
You're not a pimp
Now I'm in your life
I'm exempt
Cause I've got your heart
And now you belong to me, yeah
Repeat 1
I think you're in trouble
Repeat 1 (2x)
Baby when it comes to me
When it comes to me
I beat you at your own game
Repeat 1 fade out
In the song When It Comes to Me by Chanté Moore, the lyrics describe a relationship between the singer and a man who used to be a player, but now is deeply in love with her. The first verse reminisces about the past, when the man used to have a different girl by his side every time it rained. The singer then reveals that he used to say that one girl wasn't enough. However, now that he's fallen in love with her, he can't believe he let those women go. The pre-chorus describes the transformation of the man from a player to a devoted lover, with the singer saying he's not a pimp anymore and that she now has his heart.
The chorus repeats the phrase "when it comes to me," which refers to the fact that the singer gets what she wants in the relationship because she made the man fall in love with her. She also claims that she beat him at his own game and that he doesn't have control over the relationship because she's in charge. The second verse highlights how the man has changed since being with the singer. He no longer looks at other women when they go dancing because she has trained him to respect her. He's also clearly smitten with her and has even told his mother that she's the one. The song ends with the singer repeating the chorus and saying that the man is in trouble.
Overall, the lyrics of When It Comes to Me by Chanté Moore paint a picture of a strong and confident woman who has tamed a player and made him fall deeply in love with her. The song suggests that the woman has the power in the relationship and that the man is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her.
