Gainsbourg made her motion picture debut playing Catherine Deneuve's daughter in the film Paroles et musique (1984). In 1986, Gainsbourg won a César Award for "Most Promising Actress" for L'effrontée, and, in 2000, she won "Best Supporting Actress" for the film La Bûche.
Gainsbourg made her musical debut with her father on the song "Lemon Incest" in 1984. Two years later, she released her debut album Charlotte for Ever, which was produced by her father.
In 2007, Gainsbourg appeared alongside Gael Garcia Bernal in Michel Gondry's La Science des rêves and as Claire in the Todd Haynes directed Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There, also contributing a cover of the Dylan song "Just Like A Woman" to the film's soundtrack.
In 2006, Gainsbourg released her second album 5:55 to critical acclaim and commercial success, reaching the top spot on the French charts and achieving platinum status in the country. In the UK, the album was moderately successful, reaching #78 (The single The Songs That We Sing only made #129).
Gainsbourg has recently released her third studio album, IRM, which was produced by Beck. One of the influential factors in the album's creative process was her time spent filming Antichrist.

Take me back
To the home
Anna
Once I knew
It’s getting born
I’ve been in the world
Now had to sing
Your voice calling in
Takes too long
To forget you
If I'd known how to stay
Too long to forget you
I'm still waiting for a chance
Anna
All I see
Is your face
Anna
Same great heart
Still away
I want you to know
I was so young then
Don't wanna be
On my own again
Takes too long
To forget you
If I'd known how to stay
Too long to forget you
I'm still waiting for a chance
Charlotte Gainsbourg's song "Anna" is a heartfelt tribute to a cherished individual that is no longer in her life. The singer laments for the past days when she was still with Anna, who may have served as a friend, a lover or a familiar figure in Gainsbourg's life. She wishes to be brought back to "the home" where she and Anna can be reunited once again. Despite the singer's travels and tours, she still carries the memory of Anna with her, recalling her voice calling out to Gainsbourg. Some of the lines seem to suggest that it may be challenging to move forward from Anna since the memories of their past experiences fill her mind.
The chorus, which repeats twice in the song, emphasizes the difficulty of forgetting someone as significant as Anna. It takes too long to forget, and if Gainsbourg knew how to stay in the moments, maybe she wouldn't have to wait any longer to be with Anna once again. Gainsbourg's vocals are mesmerizing, full of longing and an indescribable sense of loss. Overall, the song serves as a reminder of the importance of the people in our lives, and we should cherish them while we still can.

I have a doubt about what is the right liric. I found several versión of the liric. For example:
In the part it say "once i knew it's getting born" other version say " once i knew skin and bone".
In the part it say "if i'd known to stay" other version say " if i know you'll never stay".
In the part it say "i still waiting for a chance" other version say " i still waiting for a change".
In the part it say " same great heart still away" other version say "same gray heart still away".
I wonder what are the right version. Somebody can help me?

I am in love with girl named Anna. She works at a Starbucks in Barnes and Noble. I have a crush on her, but I am afraid to ask her out. I am afraid because I fear that she might not be into guys, I fear that I might be too ugly for her... all of these crap... The only thing that I can do is to listen to this song!
