The song "Closer" by Charlotte de Witte is a minimalistic and repetitive techno track that allows listeners to get lost in its rhythm and feel the intensity of its lyrics. The lyrics consist of only four lines, repeated several times throughout the song: "Once, Closer, Now, Closer, Still, Closer, There, Closer." At first glance, this repetition may seem like a lack of creativity or substance. However, upon closer analysis, it becomes apparent that these lyrics hold a deeper meaning.
The lyrics can be interpreted as a metaphor for the human need for intimacy and connection. The repetition of "Closer" implies a desire to be emotionally and physically closer to someone or something, which is a universal longing. Additionally, the use of "Once" and "Now" suggests that the singer has experienced this closeness in the past, but it has since been lost. The word "Still" indicates that the longing for closeness remains despite the passage of time. Finally, "There" implies a location, which could be the place where the singer hopes to find this sense of closeness.
The final line of the song, "Now, this nothing in the world which compares to this," suggests that the singer has found what they were looking for - a sense of closeness so profound and unique that nothing else can compare. Overall, the lyrics of "Closer" may be simple, but they effectively convey a universal human experience in a way that allows listeners to get lost in the music and feel the intensity of the emotions expressed.

She's been DJing since 17 ( her taste was different then), first played at Awakenings 2011, started producing tracks in 2013, became more interested in the techno we hear from her today in 2015, plays vinyl at her gatherings for her friends and yes...is stunning to look at at. I like to listen to her and dance the night away. No problem here
