Better This Way

But it’s better this way, better this way
Everything’s sacred, nothing’s wasted
Better this way, better this way!
Stick together, fall apart
And love and pain it’s all an art
Smash the mould and start again
(I wanna go, go. And then I don’t, don’t. But now I know. No, now I know)
I’ll admit I miss your face
But it’s better this way, better this way
Everything’s sacred, nothing’s wasted
Better this way, better this way!
Don’t follow me, you’re on your own
No company, you’re all alone
Burning all the misery
Waking up to kill the dream
(I wanna go, go. And then I don’t, don’t. But now I know. No, now I know)
I’ll admit I miss your face
But it’s better this way, better this way
Everything’s sacred, nothing’s wasted
Better this way, better this way!
I’ll take the blame for the pain in your eyes
This is your last look, your final goodbye
I’ll take the blame for the pain in your eyes
This is your last look, your final goodbye
I’ll take the blame for the pain in your eyes
This is your last look, your final goodbye
I’ll admit I miss your face
But it’s better this way, better this way!
I’ll admit I miss your face
But it’s better this way, better this way!
Everything’s sacred, nothing’s wasted
Better this way, better this way!
It’s better, it’s better
The song "Better This Way" by Cherri Bomb is about finding closure in a broken relationship. The lyrics speak to the conflicting emotions of missing the person while also recognizing that it's for the best that they are no longer together. The chorus repeats the phrase "better this way" as a reminder that moving on is the right choice, even if it's hard.
The lines "stick together, fall apart, and love and pain it's all an art" suggest that relationships have their ups and downs and that experiencing both love and pain is a normal part of the process. The lyrics also encourage breaking free from the mold and starting anew, without the weight of past mistakes holding one back.
The line "I'll take the blame for the pain in your eyes, this is your last look, your final goodbye" is a powerful acknowledgement of responsibility and closure. It's a recognition that both sides have hurt each other and that it's time to move on.
In summary, "Better This Way" is a song about the pain of a broken relationship and the importance of finding closure and moving on. It recognizes the difficulty of letting go but encourages growth and new beginnings.
