His first steps as a musician were at the age of 15, in the local punk band Don Nadie. He also developed some of his musical skills in Argentina, where he travelled in 2 ocassions and played as second guitarist in the punk-metal band Diadema. and invited by the argentinian band Loquero, whose members got impressed by his skills as a performer, went to La Plata where he stayed there for some time doing live concerts at cafes and bars.
In 2007 he moves to Valparaíso to study Arts, but but drops out a little after, to focus exclusively to write and perform his songs at bars and other public locations. He started to get attention thanks to his way of playing the guitar, his androgynous voice and his ability to express. When Manuel García got to know Chinoy, he invited him to perform as the opening act at an event in the Council of Culture in Valparaíso, and in the Spain Cultural Centre, where he was being part. Soon he was traveling to various Chilean southern cities, and his song "Carne de gallina" got included in the 2007 compilation album Escuelas de Rock 1er Disco Bicentenario.
At the time he still hadn't release any record, several songs of him and illegal bootlegs were available in internet, and his MySpace reached the 130 thousand visits. His breakthrough came after filmmaker Andrés Wood asked him to create the theme song for his 2008 movie, La Buena Vida. Then he finally became a known musician in the whole the Chilean music scene. In late 2009 his long-awaited first original album Que salgan los dragones was released through the Quemasucabeza record label.
Llegaste de Flor

Cayendo por el emboque
Que vean que no se note
Que trae escondido el sol
Aaah... llegaste de flor
Con caracho de garrote
Para romper los barrotes
Aaah... viniste a soplar
La miel bajo los bigotes
Que la vengan a buscar
Aaah... viniste a soltar
La mas dura y los rebotes
La pata para cruzar
Aaah... llegaste de flor
Botado sin quien te abroche
Con cantos en el cogote
Feo pero regalón
Aaah... llegaste de flor
Como perro de la noche
Escarbando en un escote
Calles para el corazón
Aaah... viniste a soplar
La miel bajo los bigotes
Que la vengan a buscar
Aaah... viniste a soplar
La mas dura y los rebotes
La pata′ para cruzar
--- version disco ---
Llego un dia como santo
Santo el don de la energía
La sonrisa compartida
A la salud de los cabros
Con los ojos en los bancos
Y la cola en la subida
Abrochelo en la guarida
Empacó un puño de pasto
Llego al puerto pataleando
Relinchando la bocina
Borrando la pesadilla
Sacando el cuerpo del marco
Por las dunas avanzando
Todas las patas metidas
Con el fuego en las pupilas
De los bosques pestañando
Ahh llegaste de flor aaah... llegaste de flor
Que el grito de gol explote
Que pillan que se coloque
Justo en el despertador
Aaah... llegaste de flor
Que sepas todos los motes
Que pierdas que ese se agote
Los cachos del matador
Aaah... viniste a soplar
La miel bajo los bigotes
Que la vengan a buscar
Aaah... viniste a soltar
La mas dura y los rebotes
La pata para cruzar
Aaah... llegaste de flor
Llegaste de flor
Aaah... llegaste de flor
The lyrics of "Llegaste de Flor" by Chinoy are a mix of playful and poignant imagery, inviting the listener to contemplate the arrival of someone who brings change and vitality to their surroundings. The song starts with the phrase "Aaah... llegaste de flor", which can be interpreted as a celebratory exclamation, suggesting that the person in question is a refreshing and positive presence. The rest of the stanza implies a kind of secrecy or discretion, as the arrival is meant to go unnoticed, but with an underlying suggestion of warmth and light.
The second stanza introduces a more confrontational tone with "Con caracho de garrote", a phrase that can be translated as 'with the face of a club', implying that the arrival also brings strength and determination, perhaps to overcome obstacles or break barriers. The line "Que recomienda el doctor" can be interpreted as an ironic reference to the advice of authority figures, which may not always be the best course of action. The following stanzas continue to suggest that the arrival is a force to be reckoned with, with references to honey, toughness, and crossing boundaries, all delivered in a rhythmic and catchy melody that invites the listener to sing along.
Overall, the lyrics of "Llegaste de Flor" convey a sense of joy and possibility, inviting the listener to embrace the arrival of someone who embodies vitality and transformative power, even if that comes with some rough edges and challenging moments.

Mi tio es repartidor de gas, y este video me recuerda a las mañanas en que me llevaba en el triciclo, siempre contando sus chistes, sus historias, y sus moralejas de vida.
@theveganbastard
