In the tallest trees
To the human life
Of you and me
From the desert sands
To the place we stand
He is God of all
He is everything
Given my life to the only one
Who makes the moon reflect the sun
Every starry night
That was his design
Given my life to the only son
Who was and is and yet to come
Let the praises ring
Cause he is everything
He is everything
From the autumn leaves
That will ride the breeze
To the faith it takes
To pray and sing
From the painted sky
To my plank filled eye
He is God of all he is everything
Whoa
Given my life to the only one
Who makes the moon reflect the sun
Every starry night
That was his design
Given my life to the only son
Who was and is and yet to come
Let the praises ring
Cause he is everything
Everything
Hallelujah hallelujah
I believe
Whoa
Hallelujah hallelujah
I believe
Given my life to the only one
Who makes the moon reflect the sun
On that starry night
He changed my life
Given it all to the only son who gave me hope when I had none
So let the praises ring
He is everything
Given my life to the only one
Who makes the moon reflect the sun
Every starry night
That was his design
Given my life to the only son
Who was and is and yet to come
Let the angles sing
He is heavenly
So let the praises ring
He is everything
The lyrics of Chris August's song "Starry Night" embody a sense of gratitude and wonder towards the vast and diverse universe and the creator behind it all. The song describes the magnificence of God's creation, from the birds that sing in the tallest trees to the painted sky, from the autumn leaves that ride the breeze to the desert sands. The singer acknowledges that God is the God of all, and everything from the natural world, to human life, and to his own personal experiences are testaments to His greatness. The chorus repeats the phrase "Given my life to the only one" as a declaration of faith and devotion to God, who is described as the only one who makes the moon reflect the sun and the designer of every starry night.
The song conveys a message of the singer's acceptance of God's love, whose son saved him and gave him hope when he had none. The line "He is everything" implies that God is the source of all things, the beginning and the end. The song is a powerful reminder to be grateful for God's presence in our lives and to have faith that He is in control.

This song reminds me of the summer that God took such good care of me and my children. I had nothing and no one and He totally gave us an apartment and safety! To God be the glory! I listened to Klove playing all day and night. Thank you Jesus for your love, thank you Holy Spirit!

My husband and I are living proof of the Β restoration power of God... we are working on 10 yrs anniversary since our reconciliation. Even though we were back together we weren't back together, if that makes any sense. Just this past Monday he gave his heart to Jesus and accepted him as his personal Saviour. I heard this song several months back right in the moment I just wasn't sure if I could go on.. I sat in my driveway bawling like a baby. I have held this song and meaning in my heart. As listening again I felt such a blessed feeling as my hubby lay sleeping next to me that we are RESTORED!!!!

I love this song. The first time I heard it I was laying outside underneath the night sky, looking at the stars. I heard it and I was amazed at the timing of this song coming on. I know these things are small but i like to think God times these things perfectly because it always brings a smile to my face. And He's the only one who can make us smile in times of pain.
