On June 13, 2006, Brown released a DVD entitled, Chris Brown's Journey, which shows footage of him travelling in England and Japan, getting ready for his first visit to the Grammys, behind the scenes of his music videos and bloopers.

In "Bad Then A Beach," Chris Brown and Tory Lanez are rapping about their sexual experiences with women who are confident, independent and unapologetically bad. They admire these women and their luxurious lifestyles, but ultimately, their focus is on their sexual attraction and prowess. The lyrics are explicit and prioritize the male perspective and their sexual desires. The phrase "bad then a bitch" is used as a compliment to describe the women they are interested in.
The song has a repetitive structure as it repeats the same lyrics for both verses, with slight variations in the chorus. The use of autotune and electronic beats creates a pulsing energy that enhances the focus on the sexual aspects of the lyrics. It is a typical example of a rap song that objectifies women, showcases male dominance, and glorifies materialism.
