A dancer since the age of two, Brown was not aware of his vocal talents until the age of eleven. Before becoming a vocalist, he was interested in becoming a rapper.
At thirteen, Brown was discovered by a local production team who visited his father's gas station searching for new talent. Since then, he began his recording career and moved to New York, staying there for two years. Brown's local production team organized an audition before Def Jam Vice President Tina Davis, who currently works as his manager. At the age of 15, Brown was then sent to perform for L.A. The single debuted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 at #80 and climbed the charts quickly peaking at #15. Chris also co-directed his music videos for "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" and "Gimme That." His fourth single is the ballad "Say Goodbye," which is also a part of the Step Up Soundtrack. On June 13, 2006, Brown released a DVD entitled, Chris Brown's Journey, which shows footage of him travelling in England and Japan, getting ready for his first visit to the Grammys, behind the scenes of his music videos and bloopers.
On August 17, 2006 to further promote the album, Brown kicked off his major co-headlining tour, The Up Close and Personal Tour. I been on my grind since butt-touch-potty
Y'all don't really want it wit the Yung God Toddla
Wit a flow so spec like technolotta

How da clock go tick
Keep given ya'll hit like techmatic uh!
Its the reason why I spit it
How I spit
When I spit its like mucus
Gotta get rid of it

The song "Shawty Get Loose" by Chris Brown, Lil Mama, and T-Pain is a hip-hop dance track that encourages listeners to let loose on the dance floor. The chorus repeats the phrase "Shawty get loose!" as a call to action. The verses contain boastful lyrics from each of the three artists, highlighting their skills and unique qualities.
Lil Mama's verse emphasizes her hard work and dedication to her craft, while also boasting about her unique flow and style. She reminds listeners that she is one of a kind and impossible to compare to others. T-Pain's verse includes his signature use of Auto-Tune to create a robotic sound, which he uses to quickly rap about his success and wealth.
The song's production includes heavy use of synths and a driving beat, creating a high-energy atmosphere perfect for dancing. The titular "Shawty" is presumably any woman in the club who wants to let loose and have a good time.
