In 2008, after five solo album releases, and nine with Passion, Tomlin made the move from Texas to Atlanta to be a worship leader for Giglio’s new church, Passion City Church, with its first service being held in February of 2009. Tomlin has since released four solo worship albums, two Christmas albums, and one live album.
In 2013, Tomlin’s seventh album Burning Light debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, becoming only the fourth album by a Christian artist to top that chart, along with Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace) by Bob Carlisle, You Light Up My Life by LeeAnn Rimes, both in 1997, and TobyMac's Eye On It in 2012.
Tomlin has recorded some of the most famous songs ever in Christian music, such as How Great Is Our God, Holy Is The Lord, Our God, and Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)
Throughout his successful career, Tomlin has won 22 GMA Dove Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and a Grammy.

All My Fountains
Chris Tomlin Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I tell myself keep walking on
Hear something up ahead
Water falling like a song
An everlasting stream
You're river carries me home
Let it flow, let it flow
All my fountains
A flood for my soul
A well that never will run dry
I've rambled on my own
Never believing I would find
An everlasting stream
You're river carries me home
Let it flow, let it flow
Open the Heavens
Come living water
All my fountains are in you
You're strong like a river
Your love is running through
All my fountains are in you
Come on and rain down on us, rain down on us, Lord
Come on and rain down on us, rain down on us, Lord
Come on and rain down on us, rain down on us, Lord (we pray)
Come on and rain down on us, rain down on us, Lord
Open the Heavens
Come living water
All my fountains are in you
You're strong like a river
Your love is running through
All my fountains are in you
Open the Heavens
Come living water
All my fountains are in you
You're strong like a river
Your love is running through
All my fountains are in you
All my fountains are in you
The lyrics of Chris Tomlin's song All My Fountains speaks to those who have been going through a dry and difficult season in life, feeling like they are walking in a desert land. The singer urges himself/herself to keep pushing through, and to keep going despite the challenges ahead. Suddenly, the lyrics describe something that catches the singer's attention, which turns out to be the sound of water falling, like a song. This is a representation of hope, a sign that their journey will not be fruitless, and that there is an endless stream of water waiting for them.
The singer continues to describe this stream as an everlasting one, which carries them back home. The sound of water flowing serves as a symbol of refreshment, rejuvenation, and revival. While they may have been wandering aimlessly before, this stream offers a clear path, leading back to a place of comfort and safety. The lyrics urge the listener to allow this stream to flow, to let it wash away their burdens, insecurities, and doubts, and to trust that it will never run dry. The chorus repeats the phrase "All my fountains," a beautiful metaphorical image that alludes to the endless resources available to those who trust and believe in God.
