1. Citrus is an influential Japanese indie pop group from the 1990s.
2. Citrus was a Latvian indie rock band active in late 1990s until about 2002.
3. Citrus was a collaboration between Richard H. Kirk (1956 - 2021), one of the three founding members of Cabaret Voltaire, and Steve Cobby. They released on EP, "Adrenachrome" in 1992.
4. Citrus is the musical alias of Gabriel Melchor, a DJ and producer hailing from Denver, CO, with a diverse range encompassing reggae, electro, glitch hop, and everything in-between.
5. Citrus (Fossil Citrus on social media) is the name of a Vocaloid producer and artist, primarily using Sekka Yufu (雪歌ユフ) and Tsumitsugu Nae (罪告ナエ).
His passion for music started early in life, with Bob Marley becoming a staple in his rotation at the young age of 11. As he grew into teenhood, his tastes changed to encompass the rebellious and frenetic styles of punk and ska, but it was in high school that he was exposed to the mind-bending (and life-changing) sounds of IDM and drum and bass, with artists like Autechre, Aphex Twin, and Roni Size wielding sonic palettes he had never imagined possible. This newly discovered passion for the abstract sounds of electronica in all its forms provided the impetus to create and discover new sonic territory of his own.
Today, Citrus’ musical creations fuse elements from the many styles which have shaped his tastes over the years. The result is a sonic melting pot like life itself, both urban and natural, shifting tempos and textures seamlessly from one minute to the next; the bitcrushed alongside the beautiful, the cold and calculated battling the analog and tribal. The aim is to find musical common ground and a unique sound which inspires people to dance, laugh, cry, and share in the personal freedom that can only be experienced through music.

Personally, this Yuri was my favourite out of a lot. Let me debunk how I came to love this anime so much. Firstly, it is a very interesting story line, yes there are many other anime’s with school girl romances but this one got me in particular because besides all of the crazy emotions these two feel for each other, they are step sisters after all. Mei is a very stern and honest teenager who doesn’t know the slightest things when it comes to crushes and Yuzu is completely clueless on what to do when she encounters her stepsisters presence (in the beginning). The first few episodes were what really brought me to love this so much (even though I have read the manga, it’s still amazing how new it all seems watching an animated version). As you probably already know, there was numerous encounters of Mild sexual assault. I may seem like a horrible human being for saying this but I loved the way it brought them closer together. Unfortunately, it looks like there will not be a season 2 any time soon (earliest is late 2019) which is fine because every once in a while, I while come back to this and watch it again. It’s quite amazing how an animation can make my heart flutter like the way it did when I watched Citrus. I’m looking forward to the future and hopefully we get updates on a next season.

I loved the first half of the show, and the last half just felt rushed and....weird. I’m really into slice of life, romcom anime.

Hey Tigerfrost,
Really enjoyed your opinions of Citrus. From the tone of your video, you are hooked! If you haven't done so already you need to go read the manga of this story.
The story after the anime picks up in Vol 5, Chapter 17. The anime pretty much stayed true to the manga. Yes, Mei's character does grow and becomes more likeable but doesn't completely lose her coldness. Yuzu continues loving Mei and if you thought she was head over heels for Mei then she really will suprise you in the manga. Matsuri does redeem herself but still retains a little of that IDGAF attitude. Momokino also comes around in the manga. You will get angry again with both Mei and Yuzu and if you have a heart, you will cry. The manga is finished and a spinoff called Citrus+ is now being published. It is the story of Mei and Yuzu as a couple. Harumin continues to be Yuzu's close friend and Yuzu does help her out, for a change. Sara and Nina are able to lend a helping hand and Yuzu picks up a "fan." Also, another character shows up that has feelings for Mei. I will give you a hint that may be another spoiler but before the end of the Citrus manga and in the new manga, Citrus+, Matsuri seems to be developing feelings for Harumin!
So, if you haven't already, please go read the mangas. This from an old straight guy who likes love stories!
