'Cause it's callin' by your voice unknown
Got a filter it's all for show, you believe it
But you never really know I know
And you're never gonna see
Every part of me
But I'll make you believe
But I'm sick of this game
Put it on vibrate
Gonna do it my way
This time, baby
Call my life, here I am
I've been waiting for you
Call my life, take a chance
'Cause I know you're real too
Call my life, here I am
I've been waiting for you
Call my life, take a chance
'Cause I know you're real too
Nah, nah, nah
Oh, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah
Oh, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah
Oh, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah
Oh, nah, nah, nah
In a world where it's only me, disconnected
Take a screenshot with my mind inside
I've been craving something real
And it's all here
But I seek, I lose, I find, I hide
And you're never gonna see
Every part of me
But I'll make you believe
That I can make you mine
But I'm sick of this game
Put it on vibrate
Gonna do it my way this time, baby
Call my life, here I am
I've been waiting for you
Call my life, take a chance
'Cause I know you're real too
Call my life, here I am
I've been waiting for you
Call my life, take a chance
'Cause I know you're real too
Nah, nah, nah
Oh, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah
Oh, nah, nah, nah

I've been waiting for you
Call my life, take a chance

The lyrics of Clair's song "Love of my life" convey a sense of longing, uncertainty, and a desire for authenticity in a world dominated by superficiality. The opening lines suggest that the singer is surrounded by the constant noise and busyness of everyday life, but amidst it all, they can hear a voice that resonates with them personally. This voice represents a yearning for connection and truth, but the singer questions whether this voice can truly be trusted, as it remains unknown and filtered, possibly concealing its true intentions.
The chorus reflects the singer's longing for a genuine connection. They acknowledge that they may never reveal every part of themselves to the other person, but they want to make them believe that they have the power to make them theirs. This desire stems from a feeling of being tired of playing games, so they want to take control and do things their own way this time.
The second verse highlights the singer's sense of disconnection in a world that values external appearances. They use the metaphor of taking a mental screenshot to describe their attempt to capture something real amidst the artificiality. However, they also recognize that in pursuing this authenticity, they sometimes get lost, found, and hide, implying a certain level of confusion and vulnerability in their quest.
Overall, the lyrics of "Love of my life" explore the complexities of seeking genuine connections in a world filled with superficiality and uncertainty. It reflects the desire to find someone who understands and accepts the singer for who they are, and their frustration with the facade of the world around them. It also touches on the fear of not being fully seen and the willingness to take a chance on love, despite the risks involved.

There's a facade I put on to deceive others, and you trust it
But you never really know I know
But you never truly understand that I see through it
And you're never gonna see

Every part of me
Every aspect of who I am
